2. The new design will increase the difficulty of research and development of interior parts
Don't think that the automotive interior parts are just "decorations" so simple, it should take into account the ergonomics, service life, safety, vehicle layout and other dimensions, the development of new interior parts is time-consuming and labor-intensive.

Therefore, the new design will have higher requirements for product structure and materials, and will also increase the research and development cycle and car manufacturing costs.
Another example is Honda's upper and lower glove box, in the development of automotive safety, we must pay attention to its safety risks. This is because the glove box is open, which can cause damage to the legs of the occupants and can also obstruct the escape path. Honda's upper and lower glove boxes, compared to the traditional glove boxes, have one more risk point and are a potential threat to the occupants' heads.
In the car crash test, there is a clear requirement that the glove box cannot be opened after the collision. Take an industry standard, for example, it is required.
