Before liberation, the underground party was arrested, and in prison, he successfully plotted against the traitors who betrayed themselves

On the morning of January 25, 1949, every household in Yangzhou heard the noise and sporadic sound of firecrackers, and some sleeping people were awakened and rushed out to check, only to learn that the People's Liberation Army had entered Yangzhou and Yangzhou City had been liberated.

At that time, the streets were lined with people who were rejoicing and welcoming the arrival of the People's Liberation Army, but in the crowd, a mother was anxiously looking for her son from the People's Liberation Army.

However, she did not find it, and later she thought that her son might not be busy and had other work, so she returned home and waited with peace of mind, who knew that she did not wait for her son to return, but waited for a "final letter" from her son.

When she saw this letter, her heart was like a knife but she could only endure, thinking of her son who put life and death aside, and the mother shed tears of despair.

Her son's name is Qiu Shiyi, many people will feel strange when they hear this name, but when you read his deeds, you can't help but sigh that he is a well-deserved "Eagle of Secret Warfare".

Qiu Shiyi's grandfather was a procurator in the Jilin Higher Procuratorate, and his father, Qiu Yisheng, studied at Peking University, came into contact with revolutionary ideas during his university years, and then followed Li Dazhao and others in the revolution.

Born in such a family, it was doomed that Qiu Shiyi's path was not an ordinary road.

He was exposed to revolutionary ideas since he was a child, his heart was full of great righteousness, he had unspeakable anger at the current situation in China, and qiu Shiyi was only 12 years old when he came into contact with and deeply understood communistism.

That year, he was studying at yangzhou civilian middle school, the Chinese teacher named Jiang Shangqing, was an excellent Communist Party member, and it was also from that time that Qiu Shiyi began to formally contact communist ideas, and also understood: Only the Communist Party can save the country.

Therefore, three years later, when he heard about the enrollment of the New Fourth Army, he did not hesitate to sign up as a soldier, and then he was assigned to the second detachment of the Advancing Column, and soon after, because of his own excellence, he was transferred to the Eighth Brigade of the Three Detachments of the Advancing Column.

He is meticulous in thinking and doing fine things, and is a rare talent in the eyes of the organization, and it is precisely for this reason that after the Anhui Incident, he was transferred to the secret department by the organization.

Before the transfer, The Sixteenth Division and eighteenth brigade, Jiang Weiqing, asked him if he would like it, and Qiu Shiyi replied categorically: Guarantee to complete the task.

He was only 18 years old.

At that time, Qiu Shiyi, as a traitor to the New Fourth Army, broke away from the New Fourth Army and was then admitted to the Wang Pseudo "Training Class Directly Under the Political Training Department."

He was then transferred to the 25th Division of Wang Pseudo in Taiqinglin, Taizhou, after which he gathered intelligence and developed members of the revolution, taking every step carefully.

In 1943, his department was transferred to Yangzhou, and he also tried his best to follow him to Yangzhou and was transferred to the Wang Pseudo-Subei Appeasement Office, where Qiu Shiyi had a good patron, that is, his uncle Xu Gongmei.

His uncle, who had been an executive in the Kuomintang government and held many important positions, initially asked Qiu Shiyi for his opinion when he wanted to join the army, and at that time he was very dissatisfied with the corruption and darkness of the Nationalist government, so he supported Qiu Shiyi to join the Communist Party.

Now he supports Qiu Shiyi's work, and when Qiu Shiyi was transferred to Yangzhou, he lived in his house, and with the help of Xu Gongmei, he met many contacts and successfully established a foothold in the office.

With Xu Gongmei as a patron, coupled with his meticulousness and prudence, he won the appreciation of Sun Liangcheng, and soon after he was promoted to combat staff officer, he was able to get more information.

Sun Liangcheng even trained him as a confidant of the concubine, and in 1945, he specially approved him as a lieutenant colonel's staff officer to attend a meeting of the Japanese puppet army.

He got a lot of information from the meeting, handed it over to the organization, and then closely followed the movements of the Japanese puppet army, and after learning that the japanese puppet army's plan had changed, he ventured out of the city at the first time to inform the organization, and it was also this time of intelligence that in the ambush battle at the mouth of the Three Stacks River, the New Fourth Army annihilated more than 1,800 Japanese troops.

After the victory of the War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression, Qiu Shiyi served as the deputy chief of the enemy's work section, responsible for the underground liaison on the Beijing-Shanghai line, and it was also at this time that danger came step by step.

In 1947, the Kuomintang's attack on the Liberated Areas was repeatedly frustrated, so it began to examine the interior and frantically kill the CCP's hidden front, during which time Qiu Shiyi helped many comrades out of danger.

On May 15, Qiu Shiyi took the intelligence to the train passing through Zhenjiang Station, and soon after getting on the train, he found himself being stalked, when he rolled up the information and put it in toothpaste in his suitcase for the sake of secrecy.

In itself, it was for the intelligence to be delivered safely, but now it was difficult to throw out the information, so he took the opportunity to go to the junction of the carriage and try to pull the car door to throw the toothpaste out.

But as soon as he threw it out, he was taken away by two people behind him, and Qiu Shiyi did not know that he had always been very careful about why he was exposed.

Until the evening he saw Yao Maoliang, he instantly understood that he had been betrayed by him, it turned out that a few days ago, the Kuomintang arrested Tian Xuefu, Shunten touched the melon and arrested Yao Maoliang, and then severely punished him.

Yao Liang, who could not bear the heavy punishment, confessed to Qiu Shiyi, who was also severely sentenced after his arrest, but he was tight-lipped and refused to say any information, and was ready to sacrifice.

But then the enemy found the ointment tube that he threw out, which had a list of our party's lurkers, especially Xu Zhifang's name.

At this time, Qiu Shiyi immediately panicked, but he did not show any flaws on the surface, and was always looking for opportunities, fortunately, the enemy did not immediately arrest Xu Zhifang in order to follow the vines and touch the melon, but let Yao Maoliang return to the liberated areas of northern Jiangsu again to inquire about intelligence.

But Yao Maoliang wanted to go back, and he also needed a reason, and finally the enemy asked Qiu Shiyi to write a piece of information for Yao Maoliang to bring back in a bright and upright way.

They thought it was very troublesome to persuade Qiu Shiyi, who knew that Qiu Shiyi directly agreed, and it turned out that Qiu Shiyi thought that Yao Maoliang was not yet a complete defection and could still be saved.

So he took the opportunity to communicate with Yao Maoliang and persuade him to return to the Liberated Areas to explain everything to the organization, which was a very bold plan, because once Yao Maoliang returned to the Liberated Areas and refused to tell the truth, it would cause great damage to the organization.

But he had no choice but to gamble, fortunately he made the right bet, Yao Maoliang immediately explained everything to the organization after he returned, and the enemy also found that they could not contact Yao Maoliang.

The cruel enemy immediately understood that Qiu Shiyi must have planned everything, so he once again severely punished him, but Qiu Shiyi never gave in. He was later transferred to the Shanghai Songhu Detention Center.

By early April 1949, when Nanjing was about to be liberated, the city's executives fled and brutally killed Qiu Shiyi before fleeing, but at that time, our party did not find Qiu Shiyi's body, and his whereabouts became a mystery.

But a letter he had written in prison was found by the People's Liberation Army and delivered to his mother, which read: The sun is about to rise from the mountain, the seeds are about to blossom, and there is no complaint about personal death.

In 1985, when Ma Da, the editor-in-chief of Wen Wei Po, compiled a memoir for Qiu Shiyi's former prison friend Huangpu, he mentioned the revolutionaries who had died at the beginning, and only then did he learn that Qiu Shiyi had been killed at that time, and Qiu Shiyi's whereabouts were completely clear.

In July 1994, Qiu Shiyi was posthumously recognized as a martyr, 45 years after his death.

Qiu Shiyi, known as the "Eagle of Secret Warfare", deserves this title, and his deeds are comparable to Yu Zecheng in "Latent", and he is also the realistic version of Yu Zecheng, and even more Sou Yu Zecheng of Yangzhou.

Although he has sacrificed now, his spirit will never retreat, and everyone who hears of his deeds will sincerely admire him and remember him.
