Speaking with Boiling Steam, an anonymous developer who can experience the Steam Deck development kit firsthand revealed some interesting new details about the handheld.
During the Q&A session, the anonymous developer revealed that steam Deck's battery life is between 2 and 5 hours, depending on the APU load.
In addition, there is no noticeable time gap between the game loading from the SD card and the SSD. Steam Deck is also working on the game background pause feature, which allows you to suspend the game, go back to the home page, and continue playing afterwards.
The anonymous developer also commented on how the Steam Deck feels compared to the Nintendo Switch, saying that due to the Steam Deck's good button position, the long-term gameplay does feel better than the Switch.

The handheld will run SteamOS 3.0, equipped with AMD's custom APU chip, with a 4-core, 8-thread CPU with a frequency of 2.4GHz-3.5GHz and a Zen 2 architecture. The GPU is an RDNA 2 architecture with 8CU, up to 1.6GHz and 1.6 TFlops FP32 performance. The product is equipped with 16GB of shared memory, and the 64GB storage base version is priced at about 2590 yuan.
