IT House has learned that Twitter user @KnurekNC said that the recently released game "Magic Eye Gaze Extra" has been specially set to prohibit it from downloading on Steam Deck. Therefore, it caused doubts and worries among netizens.
It turned out to be a misunderstanding, and Valve now confirms that the incident was just a "fortuitous accident." The official also promises that any other issues that prevent the installation of games on steam Deck will also be fixed.
"Prior to deck release, we added a feature that allowed developers to tag specific content/repositories (they were only available to Deck users). For example, this will allow developers to automatically enable different default quality modes on the handheld. But there was a technical problem with this feature, which resulted in some content being marked in reverse (they are not available for Deck users).
"We've updated this feature so that developers don't accidentally get into this state again. For any game that is in the 'unable to install' state, we will work with partners to resolve this issue. ”
Valve has also released updates to the Steam Deck, adding a new lock screen feature to handheld PCs, and several other updates.
