IT House may 3 news, as early as early March, Valve released a SteamOS 3.0 recovery image for Steam Deck handheld users. However, the image cannot be installed directly on other PC hardware.
Recently, a folk god released a magic version of SteamOS 3.0, HoloISO, on GitHub, and its first beta version of Ground Zero has been launched, free to download for everyone.
IT House learned that HoloISO made some modifications to SteamOS 3.0, eliminating the A/B partition for system updates, and users needed to update the system in the same way as standard Arch commands.
Second, SteamOS 3.0 uses a technology called Gamescope, which is only available for AMD GPUs, resulting in system-level support for FSR, so HoloISO doesn't work with Nvidia graphics devices.
Finally, HoloISO enabled Valve's two arch repos, holo and Jupiter, to experience a similar experience to SteamOS 3.0 at the software level.
At present, HoloISO has been generally available for normal use, including OOBE, Steam Deck ui, global FSR, etc. However, the first beta version will have some bugs, interested IT home friends can click here to view the GitHub page.
