Admiral Yang Dezhi

Yang Dezhi lives in an extremely poor family, and the two huts he lives in are other people's. Yang Dezhi only read for a few days, and his father was a blacksmith, and then he learned to play iron from his father.
At the age of 11, his mother died of illness and his family became poorer, and Yang Dezhi had to work as a cattle herding baby for others. At the age of 14, he went with his brother to work as a porter in an anyuan coal mine in Jiangxi. At the age of 16, he returned to Hengyang, Hunan Province, to work at a road construction site.
After joining the Communist Party at the age of 17, Yang Dezhi also participated in the war on the Sino-Vietnamese border throughout his life, and with considerable knowledge of Vietnamese combat forms and 'tricks', he was ordered to lead the army to command the corps.
Before the war, he disregarded his severe stomach disease and went to various attack sites to continuously survey the terrain, listen to reports from the troops, study the combat situation, revise the combat plan, and work intensively day and night continuously.
On the battlefield, he commanded well and has been relatively smooth. After the war, the military community generally believed that the western front was better than the eastern front on the Guangxi border, where Xu Shiyou was in charge. It was precisely because of his outstanding military achievements that Yang was later promoted to chief of the general staff.
In 1973, Yang Dezhi served as commander of the Wuhan Military Region and the Kunming Military Region. In 1979, he served as the commander of the People's Liberation Army on the western front of the Sino-Vietnamese War, and was appointed to take charge of the war on the Yunnan border on the western front, and the military circles generally believed that the western front was superior to the eastern front on the Guangxi border, which was led by Xu Shiyou. It is also because of the excellence of the western front, 80 years, as the vice minister of national defense, the chief of the general staff of the People's Liberation Army, in July 1988 was awarded the first class Red Star Meritorious Service Medal.
