Chen Pingyuan, a professor and scholar in the Department of Chinese at Peking University, bookmarked the biography of his hometown.
"The Legend of Chaozhou" traces back from the Neolithic FubinGuo until 1949, the development and change of Chaozhou as a famous historical and cultural city, an important town of the Maritime Silk Road, an important overseas Chinese township and an old revolutionary area in China, showing its historical details and details of people's livelihood.
The book is divided into dynasties, interspersed with four threads. The first is the change of urban form: how the city of Chaozhou has changed from scratch, and what have its cities, buildings, and streets changed throughout the ages; second, the change of life form: people's dress in different eras, how the cuisine has evolved more and more exquisite and delicious; third, the change of economic form: what did Chaozhou rely on to develop, the commercial development process and changes at home and abroad; the fourth is the change of cultural form: including Chaozhou's culture, education, religion, folk arts and crafts.
Huang Guoqin, the author of the seventy-year-old, is a native of Chaozhou, who is familiar with the history and culture of Chaozhou and loves Chaozhou deeply. Wang Quan, the responsible editor of the book, said that "The Biography of Chaozhou" is the spiritual genealogy, urban construction history, commercial history, people's life history, cultural history of the Chaozhou people, and it is also a beautiful and easy-to-read general history of Chaozhou.
"Chaozhou Biography" is planned and published by Wang Quan, the initiator of the Guangdong People's Publishing House", which has published 16 kinds of books in two series, including "Guangzhou Biography" and "Humanistic Wisdom Translation Series", and the upcoming "Zhongshan Biography", "Guangzhou Biography" (concise edition), "Dunhuang Biography", "Liangzhou Biography" and so on belong to the urban biography series.
