On September 10, 2021, the first domestic snowmobile jointly developed and manufactured by China FAW and China Aerospace Science and Technology Group was delivered to the State General Administration of Sport as scheduled, achieving a "zero breakthrough" in domestic snowmobiles and breaking the long-standing foreign technology monopoly.
Starting from "zero" cross-border integration
The research and development of "snowmobiles" is faced with almost zero data accumulation for China FAW. The R&D team conducted 11 special interviews with more than 20 Coaches and athletes of the Chinese Snow Team, divided into 3 major scenarios and 10 sub-scenarios by combing the use scenarios, and finally decomposed 46 functional requirements and 26 performance requirements to form a preliminary understanding of the snowmobile.
Synergistic and efficient, full-speed advancement
China FAW set up a special project work class, the project was officially approved on March 20, the assembly was completed on August 15, and the delivery was successfully delivered on September 10, and under the efficient coordination of the entire R&D team, the snowmobile development project was promoted at full speed.
Technical research and ingenuity manufacturing
China FAW and China Aerospace Science and Technology jointly organized the establishment of an innovation consortium, overcome the ergonomics optimization, platform key systems and parts design, material lightweight, CAE simulation, high-precision machining technology, vehicle trial production test system and a series of other problems, in the application for more than 80 patents, for the Chinese national snow team, snowmobile athletes to bring low wind resistance, high reliability, easy to control of the domestic snow car.
