So he ordered the sons around him to wash his body, wear the robes given by the emperor Taiji, and bow to the north with the support of the sons, in order to show their unyielding heart for the Qing court to death. He also reserved a will for his sons: "After I die, I will return to Haicheng, and my soul will be known, and I will still be the emperor in advance."

After Shang Kexi's death, the Kangxi Emperor was deeply shocked, and the special minister went to Guangzhou to offer imperial sacrifices.
