The Spring Festival in the first year of the Tianzhi Era (690) was originally the first day of the first lunar month (February 15) of that year (ZaiChu Yuan Year). However, on the first day of November (December 6) of the first year of the Tianzhi Dynasty, Wu Zetian ordered the people of the world to celebrate the Spring Festival again. What's going on here?

In September of the first year of Zaichu (690), Wu Zetian, who ascended the throne as emperor, changed the "First Year of Zaichu" to "The First Year of Heavenly Grant". This was the normal practice of changing dynasties, but in order to show the "new dynasty atmosphere", Wu Zetian ordered the abolition of the Lin De Calendar and the change to the Western Zhou calendar.
Because the Western Zhou calendar begins with November, there are one or two Spring Festivals in the first year of the first lunar month and the beginning of November. It's just that the common people still only pass the Spring Festival on the first day of the first lunar month, and Wu Zetian's calendar reform can't be completed, and in fact, he still continues to use the Lin De Calendar.
