Today's Pokémon cold knowledge, let's understand the existence of the only two [special moves] that have changed from move learners to special moves due to generational changes - [Secret Language] and [Juhe Chop].

A "dedicated move" is a move that can only be learned by a Pokémon family in a specific generation or version of the game. For example, in the first and second generations, the Mushroom Spore is a special move of the Pelas & Pelas. Some [special moves] reflect the characteristics of Pokémon; and those that belong to the legendary Pokémon often have a more powerful battle effect. In general, the number of dedicated moves will only decrease as the Pokémon generation changes. Even within the same generation, it is possible to delegate a Pokémon-specific move to another Pokémon (e.g., the respective pokémon in Pokémon: X/Y, which have been delegated to other Pokémon in ORAS). However, in the sixth and seventh generations, and the seventh and eighth generations, [Juhe Chop] and "Secret Language" have briefly become special moves for some Pokémon due to the cancellation of the corresponding move learner and the national picture book. I have to say that the reasons behind it are ironic.

As a Pokémon move that debuted in the first generation, it has long been a member of the Secret Move Learner, helping players clear the tree-shaped barricades and grass within a certain range of grass outside of the battle.

However, although many Pokémon were able to learn the Juhe Chop, no Pokémon had been able to learn this move by upgrading before the Seventh Generation. This fact led to the appearance of the Pokémon: Sun/Moon system and the replacement of the Pokémon Learner's role outside of the battle, and when the Secret Learner such as the Juhe Chopper was first removed in a Pokémon game, this move suddenly became extremely rare because no Pokémon could be learned by upgrading the Juhe Chopper.

Only the new Ultimate Beast [Paper Imperial Sword] in Sun/Moon can be learned through moves. Since the Paper Imperial Sword belongs to the Undiscovered Egg Group as the Ultimate Beast, and the Paper Imperial Sword rank of the Designated Enemy in the Seventh Generation is fixed at 60, no Pokémon were able to upgrade to learn the Ikuhe Chop prior to Let's Go Pikachu/Ibu. It wasn't until peeling and de-Qiyi that The Scallion Duck could level up at level 9 to learn the Chop, and this ancient move was returned to the Pokémon series' upgrade list.

Another skill that has been upgraded from a move learner to a dedicated move is Secret Language. This is a general attribute change move introduced since the sixth generation, which can be used against any other Pokémon on the field, reducing the target's special attack ability level by 1. As a member of the [Sound Moves], the effect of the secret language is obviously corresponding to another sound move [Call]. However, the presence of the secret language in the Pokémon series is far less than that of the scream. In addition to the late appearance of the generation, the secret language can only choose one target and the fact that it lacks actual combat performance, while the shout is a move that can affect all the Pokémon of the opponent in doubles matches, so you can occasionally see a trainer who carries it.

In Pokémon games of the sixth and seventh generations (ultimate sun and moon), the secret language is a 100-numbered move learner. In Let's Go Pikachu/Ibu, because there is no secret language move learner, and the only [Noisy Bird] that can be learned by upgrading this move cannot be transferred to LGPE. As a result, LGPE became the first version of the game ever to be learned by any Pokémon, although the Secret Language still exists in the game's data.

In the eighth generation of Pokémon: Sword/Shield, the "Secret Language" move learner was cancelled, and the only "Noisy Bird" in the first to seventh generations that could learn the secret language had no data in the sword shield due to the problem of the image book generation. Therefore, the only "Bluff Demon" & "Longhair Troll" family in the Sword Shield that can learn [Secret Language] by upgrading it becomes a Pokémon family with a special move for "Secret Language", although almost all Pokémon in Gen6 and Gen7 that can use the move learner can learn this move.

Incidentally, the Long-Haired Trolls are able to master three special moves at the same time: Soul Shock, Secret Whisper, and False Kneeling Collision, which is the second most numerous Pokémon in Pokémon: Sword/Shield, second only to Kigerd, who can master four special moves (Earth Divine Power, Thousand Arrows, Thousand Waves, and Core Punisher). In fact, the Queen of Bees should have relied on the three special moves of [Attack Command], [Defense Command] and [Reply Command] to keep pace with the long-haired troll, but because the data of the [Reply Command] was deleted in the Pokémon Sword Shield, it could only be relegated.

However, the struggle for exclusive rights in the "Secret Language" is far from over. In Pokémon: Crystal Diamond/Brilliant Pearl, the Long-Haired Trolls are unable to appear in the game, and the only Noisy Bird in the previous generation who was able to learn the Secret Language by upgrading it returned as a fourth-generation native. Since the Secret Language still does not appear as a move learner in the BDSP, the Noisy Bird takes over the ownership of the Secret Language-specific move from the LongHair Troll.

To be sure, Juhe Chop and Secret Language are extremely special beings in the ranks of special moves. They have no special moves that represent the characteristics of a certain Pokémon, nor are they powerful skills of the beasts, but are exclusive due to the modification of the move learner system between generations. Their experience is not unrelated to GF's failure to consider the overall situation when adjusting generations and ignoring the shortcomings in the learning aspect of some marginal moves.
