According to the news provided by foreign media, KTM will once again increase the engine by 100cc and call the new model the KTM 990 Duke R, similar to the top street car 990 SUPER DUKE R 10 years ago. The new 990 Duke looks the same for most of the chassis, except for minor changes to the frame to accommodate the new engine, compared to the older model before it – except for the swingarm. The new swingarm is a very common design on current KTM models, and it is more advanced in both lightweight and look-and-feel.
The new model features an all-new bodywork, including a new front fender, new fuel tank wrap and a new radiator guard, all of which bring a more aggressive look, paired with a new subframe and new seats for passengers and riders. A range of high-spec configurations are also absent, with WP front and rear shock absorption, Brembo Red Label calipers and much more.
