Don't be nervous about driving the brakes! These several first aid methods must be understood!

According to Zhuhai traffic police:

I believe that many car owners and friends have encountered the situation of abnormal brake noise. However, if there is an abnormal noise when braking, does it mean that the brake system has failed? Not really. In the following cases, the brake noise is normal, and you don't have to worry too much.

1. There is a "hissing" sound when braking in the new car

When the new car is in the run-in period, the brake discs and friction pads are new, and they have not yet reached a more consistent state with the brake shoes. At this time, it is normal to have a "hissing" sound, and it will be automatically eliminated after a period of running-in.

2. There is a "pop" sound when braking sharply

When braking sharply, the brake pedal will have a continuous "poof" sound, and sometimes there will be a phenomenon of bouncing feet, which indicates that the ABS system is starting, which is a normal sound, and at this time, vigorously press the brake pedal to the end.

3. There is a "whine" sound in a humid environment

Vehicles in humid environments (such as rainy days or car washes) will have residual water on the brake discs, in this case there may be a "whining" sound when braking at low speeds, and the sound will be automatically eliminated after the moisture evaporates.

4. There is a "hissing" sound when the cold car starts

If the vehicle is stored in a humid environment for a long time, it will form rust on the surface of the brake discs and brake pads, and it will emit a "hissing" sound when starting the vehicle. In fact, this is the brake disc and brake pads due to rust stuck together caused, generally on the road after a few feet on the brake, the brake disc rust on the grind off.
