Games Industry recently published an industry forecast article with the views of multiple analysts. Piers Harding-Rolls, an analyst at Ampere, believes Nintendo could launch a new generation of consoles in 2024.
Piers said that switch sales will decline in 2022, and the performance of the console market will be relatively stable. However, with the support of OLED models, the Switch will still be the best-selling game console in 2022, with an estimated sales of about 21 million units.
Piers, meanwhile, doesn't expect Nintendo to release a "Switch Pro" model this year. He predicts that at the end of 2024, Nintendo will directly launch the next generation of consoles, and the "Switch Pro" may not appear.
