Tesla sells too good to be hungry? Sony plans to start building cars
Recently, Sony announced at CES 2022 (International Consumer Electronics Show 2022) that it will establish an operating company called Sony Mobility Inc. in 2022 to officially explore the possibility of entering the electric vehicle market. The prototype on CES 2022 is its new seven-seat SUV (VISION-S 02), which has now begun public road testing.
Sony said it will use AI and robotics to develop businesses including VISION-S, autonomous entertainment robot aibo and drone Airpeak.
Sony first released the VISION-S concept and demonstrated its prototype in 2020, and in December of the same year, it began a public road test in Europe to verify the safety of the image and sensing technologies installed inside and outside the car and the user experience of the human-machine interface (HMI) system, and began driving testing in April 2021.

DM-i King Fried! The new Han/Tang DM-i has a pure electric range of more than 240 km
Recently, Jundian obtained a screenshot of BYD's internal product planning. Screenshots show that BYD's next-generation Han/Tang DM-i and DM-p new cars will have a pure electric endurance of more than 200 kilometers, up to 252 kilometers.
All electric asked BYD for verification, indicating that the relevant information is basically true, but the new car still needs to wait for the final announcement of the WLTC standard. Not surprisingly, this will be the highest level of pure electric endurance among plug-in hybrid models, even higher than most range extended hybrid models.
According to the breaking information we have, BYD Han will launch different versions of models such as large battery long battery life (Han DM-i) and four-wheel drive high performance version (Han DM-p), which are equipped with high-capacity power blade batteries at the beginning, with a power of 18.3kW·h or 37.6kW·h, and a comprehensive range of more than 1200 kilometers. Thanks to the blessing of BYD's super hybrid DM-i technology, the pure electric endurance of Han DM-i can reach 242 kilometers, and the performance of the four-wheel drive version of Han DM-p is also expected.
BYD Tang will also launch a large battery long-life version and a four-wheel drive version in the first half of 2022. The new Tang DM-i will refer to the current Tang DM-i, equipped with a special turbocharged 1.5Ti high-efficiency engine (possibly equipped with a 2.0T engine), an EHS hybrid system and a DM-i super hybrid special power blade battery as the core of the electric hybrid technology, the long-endurance version is expected to carry a battery capacity of up to 45kWh, the NEDC comprehensive working condition EV driving range can reach up to 240 kilometers, and the oilable and electric comprehensive endurance can reach up to 1200 kilometers.
