However, the daughter whom the Qianlong Emperor loved most was an exception, she was Princess Gulun and Princess Xiaoxiao (Tenth Princess) who was born on the third day of the first month of the 40th year of Qianlong, and the year she was born, Qianlong was already 64 years old. Qianlong was ecstatic after learning this news, because the birth of the Tenth Princess proved very fully that his health care method was indeed effective, and it seemed that he could live a long life in the future.
It is precisely for this reason that since she was born, the Tenth Princess has been deeply loved by the Qianlong Emperor, and even changed her inherent will for this purpose. When the tenth princess was three years old, the concubine who gave birth to her was also pampered and proud because her daughter was favored, and gradually became unscrupulous in doing things, no longer taking the law of the imperial court in her eyes, and when she was angry, she ordered a palace maid to be beaten to death.
At that time, the Manchu Qing royal family attached great importance to the palace women, who were basically the daughters of the magnates, and if they did not have children, then they would be released home after a certain number of years, and they were not the private property of the royal family. When the Qianlong Emperor learned of this news, he was furious and immediately demoted Concubine Huan and sent her to the Cold Palace, hoping to let Concubine Huan spend the rest of her life in the Cold Palace.
However, the 3-year-old Tenth Princess cried all day for her mother, so the Qianlong Emperor not only restored the rank of Concubine, but also released her from the Cold Palace, although the Tenth Princess was very young, but already had a very strong influence on the Emperor, and this influence increased with age.
Even when the Tenth Princess was ten years old, the Qianlong Emperor looked at this daughter who often dressed as a man and liked to ride horses and shoot arrows, and suddenly said with great emotion, "If you are a man, I will definitely make you crown prince and let you inherit the throne." However, the Tenth Princess was not a man after all, so when she was thirteen years old, the Qianlong Emperor began to prepare for her marriage, dividing it into GuLun and Princess Xiaoxiao.
Qianlong was extremely attentive to the marriage of the Tenth Princess, and in order to be able to keep the Tenth Princess by his side and see her every day, he promised it to The Fengsheng Yinde (son of He Yan) who lived in the capital, and officially held a wedding ceremony in the fifty-fourth year of Qianlong (1789 AD), Qianlong gave a dowry worth millions of gold, and the Tenth Princess was also greatly loved in her husband's family.
However, in 1799, the Qianlong Emperor died, and then the ten princesses' father-in-law, He Yan, was given death and raided the family by the Jiaqing Emperor, who held real power, and the husband of the tenth princess, Feng Sheng Yinde, was hit by this blow and soon died depressed, and the tenth princess spent the second half of her life in loneliness, and died in 1823 at the age of 49.
