In the Classic of Mountains and Seas, in ancient times, the Grandson of the Yellow Emperor, Huan Huan, had a conflict with a tribal leader. The scheming Mo Mo used the theory of ghosts and gods to incite the people to be enemies of the co-workers, which aroused the anger of the co-workers.
Riding his dragon mount, gonggong crashed into the towering mountainous terrain, causing the pillar of heaven to collapse, the heavens and the earth to lose their color, and the river to flow backwards to the east. Because of this move, the gonggong was loved and respected by all the people, and the mountain that was destroyed by the gonggong was also called the "Zhou Mountain", that is, the incomplete mountain.
As for where the "Buzhou Mountain" is, the general scholar believes that it is the Pamir Plateau. It is just northwest of the Kunlun Mountains and is also known as the roof of the world. In Tajik, "Pamir" means "roof of the world." As for when this area began to be under the jurisdiction of ancient China, there is no detailed record.
However, since the return of the Tubo kingdom to ancient China, the Pamir Plateau has always been the westernmost part of China's territory, and the name "Pamir" was officially born during the Tang Dynasty. More than 1,000 years later, although the Qing Dynasty was weakened by imperialist aggression, in fact it still controlled all the land of the Pamir Plateau in its heyday.
But in 1890, because of the incompetence of the Qing government, it could only watch as two bandits divided the Pamir Plateau. Although this land was a western fortress, it lacked defense, and Tsarist Russia first targeted this fat meat. They customized a map themselves, incorporating the entire Pamir into their pockets.
Those nerds of the Qing Dynasty could not even draw a complete map of the world, and they could not figure out where their own territorial boundaries were, how could they know that their territory had been eaten by others. There are even college scholars who buy this map and show it off everywhere. At this time, the British could not bear to see it, and they did not sympathize with the Qing Dynasty for being deceived, but resented the Russians for not sharing the booty with them.
Therefore, in order to avoid contradictions with Britain, Russia forced the Qing government to sign a border treaty, and bullied the Qing government into not having anyone, and moved the boundary monument to the east without authorization. When the Chinese people found out, they accused one after another, but Tsarist Russia turned over the map that had been identified by the Qing Dynasty scholars themselves, and everyone knew that they had been deceived, but they could only break their teeth and swallow in their stomachs.
Completing this step, Russia and Britain divided the northern and southern parts of the Pamir Plateau, respectively. This territory that once belonged to China for thousands of years was lost by the Qing Dynasty. Decades passed in a flash, and after the collapse of the Soviet Union in 1991, Tajikistan became independent, and the part of the "Buzhou Mountains" that originally belonged to Tsarist Russia was also divided into Tajikistan.

After learning of the friendship between Chinese, Tajikistan re-signed a border agreement with China, and the Pamir Plateau returned to the embrace of the motherland.
