During the Tang Dynasty, the Little Buru State once entrenched in the Wakhan Corridor, blocking the passage of the Silk Road at that time.

In 747, the Tang Dynasty sent the general Gao Xianzhi to destroy the small Buru state that was then entrenched in the Wakhan Corridor, and restored the Silk Road to unimpeded.

In 1759, the then Qing government quelled the rebellion of Dzungar, Daxiao, and Zhuomu, restored its rule over the Pamir Plateau, and sent troops to garrison it. In the 19th century, both Russia and Britain wanted to take up military occupation of the Pamir Plateau. However, with the expansion of the military aspects of the two countries, the interests of both sides have been damaged, and once for the sake of this area, the sword was fierce, and the battle for your life and death was fought, and in order to avoid the intensification of contradictions, Britain and Russia signed relevant agreements to assign the Wakhan Corridor to Afghanistan. In 1963, the then Chinese foreign minister and the Afghan minister of internal affairs met and signed a pact on the border between the two countries, and also redrawn the Sino-Arab border in the Wakhan Corridor. Today, in the Wakhan Corridor, most of the inhabitants are Tajiks. Due to the harsh environment, not only is there a lack of food, but medical and educational conditions are also very backward, and there are all kinds of crime problems.
