On November 16 last year, Yamaha unveiled the next-generation XP500A TMAX (TMAX 560) pedal to the European market, as well as the XP500A DX Tech MAX with a higher body configuration. The new car is the eighth generation of TMAX since its birth in 2001.
The new generation of the 2022' XP500 TMAX series is tentatively scheduled to be available to the European market in March of this year. The current 2021' TMAX560 is available to the domestic market, and the official retail reference price is 159,800 yuan.

The new generation of TMAX follows the original water-cooled four-stroke horizontal in-line two-cylinder engine, with a bore and stroke of 70 mm x 73 mm, an exhaust capacity of 562 cc, and a maximum power output of 35 kw, which meets Euro 5 emission standards. The power unit of the new car is the same as that of the previous model, without major changes, the crankshaft with 360-degree ignition, the balance shaft of the horizontally opposed and reciprocating piston design (the "traditional" balance shaft design is a rotary design), and the layout of the horizontal cylinder block, which greatly reduces the engine height, which is the characteristic of this power unit. In terms of electronic control system, it is equipped with D Mode selectable power output mode and traction control system.
The biggest change is the body part, and the change points of the part are as follows:
1. The front-end style of the Super Sport sports car. The newly designed, slimmer binocular LED headlamps feature a single-focus lens that projects a bright beam for excellent night-time driving vision and 24-hour visibility. The compact sporty design adopts an integrated curved lamp, and the corresponding tail brake light adopts a T-shaped design;
2. Compact and vibrant new body, with aggressive front-end flanks and sharply angled air intakes, with slimmer dual LED headlamps and integrated headlamps, providing a closer feel to the R sports car;
3. The new generation of TMAX in the standard version provides a yellow option, which is an echo of the birth of TAMA in 2001: the first TMAX at that time was also available in yellow for purchase;
4, the waistline of the body is more slender, so that the huge shape, the actual riding up becomes easy;
5. The setting of the front and rear suspension system has been improved, which can provide a higher feedback front-end touch and strengthen the flexibility of the control;
6. New ten-column lightweight front and rear wheel frames. The new wheel frame is produced using Yamaha's unique rotary swaging technology, a process that makes it possible to make the wheel frame thinner while providing the same strength. The lighter wheel frame enables more sensitive suspension movements, and the amount of inertia for forward and backward rotation is reduced by about 10% and 6% respectively compared to the previous generation of matching wheel frames, providing a more sporty driving experience and lighter handling;
7. Combined with the upgrade of the wheel frame and suspension settings, the matching tires were also replaced with Battlax SC2 tires developed with Bridgestone Bridgestone;
8. New digital multi-functional dashboard;
9, in order to allow the rider to more fully play the power unit and aluminum chassis / frame of the movement potential, the new car adopts an improved riding posture: all three points of the riding triangle have moved, the riding posture is slightly forward than the previous generation model, the newly designed aluminum handlebar, with a longer main seat and longer pedals, provides the rider with greater freedom of movement and meets the needs of sports riding;
10. The new low-noise adjustable front windshield, the adjustable knight backrest with a total distance of 30 mm for front and rear movement;
11, the increasingly mature Y-CCT (Yamaha Chip Controlled Throttle, electronic chip control throttle) electronic control throttle, increased APSG (Accelerator Position Sensor Grip, acceleration position sensor node), the new device for different acceleration nodes to provide different degrees of throttle resistance, improve handling at the same time, but also let the knight have more like twisting the traditional cable throttle intuitive feeling;
12. Other aspects, including smart key/keyless operation, keyless, electrically controlled fuel filling port cover, newly designed control switch, etc.
The augmented version of tech MAX is based on the standard version, with a heated saddle that can be controlled for temperature, a heatable handlebar, an electrically adjustable front windshield, an adjustable rear suspension, an added cruise control, and a variety of more luxurious body trims.
