Now that Yang Xiu has worked hard and hurt his wealth, I should use the law to punish his sins as a monarch! So Yang Xiu was sent to prison for punishment.
A minister advised: "Yang Yong has been deposed as a commoner, Yang Jun, the king of Qin, has died of fear, and His Majesty's sons are not many, so why bother?" However, the King of Shu had a very upright temperament, and now that he had been severely punished, I was afraid that he would not be able to survive. Yang Jian was furious and wanted to cut off the minister's tongue. Therefore, Yang Jian said to the group of ministers: "Yang Xiu should be killed at the market to apologize to the people." So he ordered Yang Su, Su Wei, Niu Hong, Liu Shu, Zhao Shu and other ministers to try Yang Xiu's case.
Yang Guang took the opportunity to secretly make a puppet, wrote Yang Jian's name, tied the puppet's hands, nailed it into the puppet's heart, and then sent someone to bury the puppet under Mount Hua so that Yang Su could excavate it. Yang Guang also made a text saying: "Rebellious thief, usurped power and dictatorship, Your Majesty has no real name, and knows nothing." These things were all made by Yang Guang in the name of Yang Xiu, in order to frame Yang Xiu and curse Yang Jian and rebel.

Therefore, Yang Xiu was deposed as a commoner, imprisoned in Neishi Province, forbidden to meet his wife and children, and gave Yang Xiu two fierce maids for the drive.
