At the CES 2022 event, Intel continued to expand the 12th generation Core processor desktop version family product line, releasing more than 20 new models, mainly 65W and 35W TDP products.
As of now, three 12th-generation Core i5 processors have now been listed on JD.com, including the Core i5-12400, Core i5-12400F and the Core i5-12490F specially available in the Chinese market.
Both the Core i5-12400 and Core i5-12400F are plain blue packaging. In terms of parameters, both processors are 6-core 12 threads, no E-Core, the highest turbo frequency is 4.4GHz, and the L3 cache is 18MB, the only difference is whether the core display is retained.
The Core i5-12490F is more special, it is understood that this is a special model for the Chinese mainland game market, 6 cores and 12 threads, up to 4.6GHz, 20MB L3 cache. Compared to the regular version of the Core i5-12400, the frequency is higher, the L3 cache is larger, but there is no kernel display.
In terms of price, the Core i5-12400 is priced at 1699 yuan, the Core i5-12400F is priced at 1499 yuan, and the Core i5-12490F is priced at 1599 yuan. For players who don't consider nuclear display, the Core i5-12490F is obviously very cost-effective.
