In July 2004, the Heart to Heart Art Troupe came to the Tasti Outpost in Yumin County, Xinjiang on the border between China and Kazakhstan to perform condolences and performances, and when the singer Yan Weiwen sang the song "Little Poplar", the comrades at the post boiled over.
"Little Poplar" was not a new song at that time, it was published as early as 1984, and it is reasonable to say that the comrades in the outpost could not have heard it, but why were they so excited?

The reason is that there is no other reason, the Tasty outpost, there is also a post called "Little Poplar", and this song "Little Poplar" sings a touching story that happened here, and the story starts from a Jiangsu girl named Sun Longzhen.
In 1958, the Soviet Union proposed to establish a long-wave radio station and a common fleet jointly managed by the Soviet Union and China in china's territory and territorial waters, and if they agreed, it would seriously harm the main forces of our country. ”。
Because of this, the Soviet Union's "big brother" was not happy, and in August 1959, there was a conflict on the Sino-Indian border, and the Soviet Union directly favored India and made the Sino-Soviet differences public.
Immediately afterward, Khrushchev, who came to attend China's 10th National Day celebration, went so far as to demand that China make concessions to the United States during the talks, and also demanded that he bear the "obligation" of not using force on the "Taiwan issue." How can Taiwan be recovered without the use of force? Of course, the Chinese side refused, and the two sides once again broke up unhappily.
In July 1960, the Soviet side withdrew all the experts working in our country and abrogated the agreements on economic and technical cooperation between the two countries, which caused huge economic losses to our country and made China, which was in a difficult period of three years, even worse.
Not only that, after the confrontation, the Soviet Union also frequently created incidents on the border, in April 1962, the shocking "Ita Incident" broke out, under the temptation of the Soviet Union to "eat well and dress well", in just 2 months, 60,000 people crossed the border to the Soviet Union.
The most serious are Tacheng and Huocheng, the number of people fleeing from Tacheng accounts for 68% of the county's population, and Huocheng is only more than 3,000 people left, and when these people fled, they also took more than 300,000 heads of livestock, so that more than 400,000 mu of local farmland could not be reclaimed.
In view of such a grim situation, Premier Zhou urgently summoned Zhang Zhonghan, political commissar of the Xinjiang Military Region Construction Corps, and asked him to immediately organize a high-quality team to go to the first line of the Sino-Soviet border to cultivate, shepherd, and manage on behalf of others, and at the same time establish a state-run farm group.
Zhang Zhonghan, who had returned to Xinjiang, immediately called on the warrior cadres to rush to the border, when Sun Longzhen, who was working at the Flame Mountain Chemical Plant in Turpan, Xinjiang, received news and insisted on going, and after obtaining the consent of the factory leaders, she came to the 12th Company of the 161st Regiment of the 9th Agricultural Division in the western part of Baruch to work.
Sun Longzhen, a native of TaiXian County, Jiangsu Province, was born in a poor local peasant family, and in the old society, Sun Longzhen suffered a lot, and only after the founding of New China did she live a good life, which made her grateful.
In 1959, in order to build Xinjiang, the state called on the vast number of young people to support the construction of Xinjiang, only 19 years old, just married Sun Longzhen bid farewell to her new husband, left the comfortable environment in Jiangnan, and went to work in the Turpan Flame Mountain Chemical Factory, where the temperature difference between day and night is extremely large.
Although the environment is harsh, the conditions are harsh, and the temperature is often as high as 40 degrees Celsius when working, Sun Longzhen still works hard and has no complaints, and Yue Yue was rated as a red flag bearer and became the backbone of the factory, which is why in 1962, he was eligible to go to the Sino-Soviet border.
Sun Longzhen is a diligent and responsible person, doing a line of love, meticulous and serious, in an extreme time, she mastered the technology of grazing, for the country's cattle and sheep, she regards more precious than life.
The local climate is changeable, sometimes wind and snow, sometimes hail, in order to take care of the sheep, she often starved and froze, not only that, she also took the initiative to ask for a difficult task, where the hardest work, where there is Sun Longzhen.
Later, at her call, her husband and sister-in-law came to Xinjiang to contribute to the construction of a beautiful Xinjiang.
Soon, in 1966, China entered a special era, and Sino-Soviet relations were still deadlocked, and China at that time basically froze except for allowing the Soviet Union to transport supplies to North Vietnam in the Vietnam War through China.
In 1967, young people stormed the Soviet Embassy in Beijing, making relations between the two countries even worse.
In 1968, the Soviet Union recruited heavily near Xinjiang, increasing its strength to 25 divisions, 1,200 aircraft, and 200 missiles.
In March 1969, in Hulin County, Heilongjiang, the Zhenbao Island self-defense counterattack war broke out, facing the invading Soviet army, the soldiers of our border area rose up to fight back and repel the invaders.
After this incident occurred, the comrades on the front line of the Xinjiang border also waited in a strict line, beware of the case, however, with all precautions, something still went wrong.
On June 10, 1969, a cry of exclamation suddenly came from the calm pasture: "Come on people, our people have been kidnapped!" ”。
It turned out that Zhang Chengshan, a herdsman in the pasture on this day, received a notice from the company to drive the sheep from Dulatigou to the company, and after lunch, Zhang Chengshan drove the sheep away.
Along the way, the sheep grazed while wandering, and unconsciously arrived at the bank of the Bulgan River, when suddenly, Zhang Chengshan found that there were more than a dozen heavily armed Soviet soldiers spying on China's border posts, which surprised Zhang Chengshan.
Without much time to think about it, Zhang Chengshan stuffed his documents and belongings into the nearby bushes, and then said to his son Zhang Huaiping, who had come with him to herd sheep: "Hurry back to the company to report the news, and tell your uncles and aunts that the enemy is coming!" ”。
Soon after his son left, Zhang Huaiping was found by the Soviet army, and when he saw the situation, he drove the sheep while running to the company, and shouted loudly in his mouth: "The enemy is coming!" ”。
Zhang Huaiping's shouts made the Soviet army angry, they first tried to block the fleeing sheep, and when they saw that it did not work, they pounced on Zhang Huaiping, who was outnumbered with bare hands, and was thrown to the ground, and a towel was stuffed in his mouth.
This scene happened to be seen by comrades in the distance, and they quickly ran back to report the news.
The ranch that learned of the situation was immediately full of people, latte shovels, sticks and sticks, shouting and running toward the triangle, to theorize with the Soviets.
At that time, Sun Longzhen, who was already pregnant in June, also picked up a shovel to go, and the sister-in-law immediately stopped her when she saw it: "Sister-in-law, you are pregnant, I will go for you!" ”。
"No, I'm a militiaman!" After saying that, Sun Longzhen ran out the door.
When the crowd ran to the scene of the incident, 100 meters away from the Soviet army, the heartbroken Soviet army actually ordered machine gun fire, unfortunately, a bullet shot through Sun Longzhen's chest, and when the comrades rescued her, she had no breath, and the fetus in the abdomen was still struggling...
At the time of his sacrifice, Sun Longzhen was only 29 years old, one corpse and two lives, which completely ignited the anger of the officers and men of the Tass advance sentry, and under the leadership of platoon leader Li Yongqiang, our soldiers fought back and killed 6 Soviet troops on the spot.
However, the kidnapped herdsman Zhang Chengshan, was not released by the Soviet army, according to Zhang Chengshan's later recollection, when the Soviet army shot the masses with machine guns, he was in the Soviet army, watching the comrades hear the gunshots lying down, Zhang Chengshan was very worried, struggling to use his body to block the muzzle of the gun, but unfortunately was pulled away by two Soviet soldiers, holding the butt of the gun and smashing Zhang Chengshan's head, he fainted.
When he woke up again, Zhang Chengshan heard the sound of gunfire again, this time, the sound of gunfire came from our position, the Soviet army was suppressed and did not dare to look up, and then the Soviet commander ordered a retreat, and ordered people to leave with Zhang Chengshan.
Soon, Zhang Chengshan was taken into a dark room, and the Soviet army found an interpreter to interrogate Zhang Chengshan, which made Zhang Chengshan angry, no matter what the Soviet army asked, he said: "I am herding sheep on my own national territory, why do you arrest me?" ”。
Zhang Chengshan's "non-cooperation" made the Soviet army angry and ashamed, and was hung up and whipped with a leather whip, but even if he was beaten unconscious twice, Zhang Chengshan did not yield, and even began to hunger strike, 2 days later, Zhang Chengshan was sent to treatment.
The "Sun Longzhen Incident" spread back to China, the crowd was indignant, and demonstrations and denunciation activities were held all over the country, and the Soviet Union had no choice but to send Zhang Chengshan back to China.
After returning to China, Zhang Chengshan was treated in the Ninth Division Hospital and a hospital in Wulongmuqi, during which he heard about Sun Longzhen's sacrifice and cried silently...
After Sun Longzhen's sacrifice, she was posthumously recognized as a communist, and soon after she was awarded the title of "revolutionary martyr", the body was not transported back to her hometown, but at the request of her family, she was buried on the Tasty River next to the outpost, forever remaining in the place where she fought for.
Her deeds also deeply touched the generations of soldiers and masses here, in 1978, a soldier named Chen Fusen of the Tasti Post returned to his hometown in Yili, and he told this story to his mother, who was in tears.
When Chen Fusen returned to the army, his mother handed him 20 poplar saplings that he had personally cultivated, and asked him to take them back to the troops and plant them next to the post.
Unfortunately, due to the local drought and high temperature, the wind and sand were raging, even if the soldiers washed their faces without soap, washed their clothes without washing powder, and saved water to water, 19 of the 20 poplar saplings died, only the one closest to the outpost survived, and thrived under the careful care of the soldiers.
In 1983, the famous poet and lyricist Liang Shangquan came here to collect wind, heard about this story, and wrote the popular song "Little Poplar", in 1984, august 1st Founding Day, Yan Weiwen sang this song for the first time at the CCTV literary and art evening, The Statei Border Guard Post, which also had a name "Little Poplar Outpost".
Here, there is also a famous female soldier class, the "Sun Longzhen Militia Class", who braved the cold and heat to inherit Sun Longzhen's legacy and guard the territory for which she had sacrificed.
On July 29, 2003, China and Kazakhstan surveyed and confirmed the right to demarcate, after 34 years, the 440,000 mu of disputed area that Sun Longzhen sacrificed finally belonged to China, if Sun Lianzhen knew about it, he must be very pleased...
