Faced with this situation, Li Xiannian divided the troops into two parts, one team led by veterans quietly turned from the east of the street in Yujiadian to the north of the street, thus giving the enemy a sudden offensive, while the other team went from the middle road to the south of the street, sealing the enemy's retreat from the north and south. The Japanese army in the middle is like a sandwich, encountered the encirclement of the Red Army on the north and south sides, and soon the Japanese army could not resist the two sides of the attack, so it had to choose to rely on jungle cover and retreated to the highlands to wait for rescue.
Under the leadership of Li Xiannian, the Red Army launched a fierce offensive, so that the Japanese reinforcements lost more than 20 soldiers before they could wait, and in the face of such losses, the Japanese army could only flee in a hurry. Although this guerrilla war has not achieved much, it has brought great influence to our army, and it is also the first time that our guerrillas have invaded the Interior of the Japanese Army to fight, and it has broken the myth of the invincibility of the Japanese Army.
After this, Li Xiannian has successively made many outstanding achievements, and after the anti-encirclement and suppression war to the liberation war, Li Xiannian has become the god of war in everyone's minds, and his heroic deeds have also been deeply rooted in the hearts of the people. After the founding of New China, the state awarded different ranks of military ranks to those who made outstanding contributions to the war, and it is reasonable to say that the contributions made by Li Xiannian must not be worse than those who were awarded the rank of great generals.
However, due to the restrictions of the policy at that time, Li Xiannian, who had long left the army, could not be awarded a military rank, so people often respectfully called him "general without title". After leaving the army, Li Xiannian became China's finance minister. For the sake of honesty and honesty, he never arbitrarily used a share of the state's money, but also to avoid suspicion and keep his children from doing business.
After stepping down from the Ministry of Finance in 1988, Li Xiannian became the president of our country, and in this position he devoted himself to paying close attention to the changes in the development of the international situation, and even visited more than 20 countries in just a few years in office, making great contributions to China's diplomacy.
