Late last year, the U.S. Marine Corps released a concept document on operations, known as stand-in force, how to translate, there is no unified standard, if translated literally, it is to take risks for others in dangerous situations, such as stand-ins. Some people in China have translated this concept into the concept of spy troops, and I think the latter's translation reflects the original intention of the US Marine Corps. Because this document means that the Marine Corps should be deployed at the front, using global tools to act as the eyes and ears of the naval fleet and joint forces, conducting continuous reconnaissance and counter-reconnaissance missions, and initiating actions to weaken the opponent's anti-intervention capabilities if necessary. The United States believes that more and more countries have now adopted intelligence, surveillance, reconnaissance and targeting capabilities, combined with long-range precision strike capabilities, so that the United States cannot have the same strong interference capability in international affairs as before. Of course, the first is China.

Staying on the front lines can demonstrate durable, reliable security assurances to allies and partners, provide lasting surveillance of potential adversary targets, and quickly deter adversaries from moving freely. Maritime reconnaissance and counter-reconnaissance, support the naval fleet and joint forces to determine the position of the opponent, but also to avoid the opponent to lock the position of the naval fleet and the joint force, in peacetime to find, expose and counter the non-lethal force of potential opponents. Use your own sensors or weapon systems, or fused with those of a naval fleet or joint force, to perform maritime denial missions. The other is to make sure you are hidden enough to avoid detection, to be deceptive, to be able to help allies, and so on.
These things can actually be summed up in three words: guerrilla warfare.
Many friends may feel that guerrilla warfare is China's unique skill, but in fact, the history of guerrilla warfare in various countries and civilizations is very long. It cannot be said that we were original, but we elevated guerrilla warfare to the strategic height of that historical period.
In the case of the U.S. military, the Time of Independence War was to play guerrilla warfare, and it continues to this day, that is, the rangers that everyone is familiar with, and in World War II, they fought the Japanese together with the local Nationalist troops in Southeast Asia. During the War to Resist US Aggression and Aid Korea, the US military also organized reconnaissance guerrilla operations against the volunteers, such as ambushing near our line of communication at night, and when they heard the US plane approaching, they fired flares above our communication line to indicate the target to the US plane.
In fact, in contrast, the new concept of the US Marine Corps has not changed much from that year, but it is that the information communication command means are more powerful and richer, and more powerful and accurate fire support can be obtained from the rear.
In addition, the situation that the US military is now encountering has changed from unilaterally having this kind of rapid response system of reconnaissance and strike to having all sides, and the US military cannot even gain an advantage in local areas, and the pace of modern warfare is getting faster and faster, and whoever can make the battlefield transparent to themselves first may win the war. Therefore, it is necessary to let the Marine Corps undertake more infiltration, reconnaissance, and sabotage tasks, and then form a battlefield integration through the distributed kill chain and mosaic chain of the United States. Or rather, each squad of the Marine Corps is to become a small mosaic of the entire mosaic puzzle.
We must continue to pay attention to this kind of information-based guerrilla warfare in the US military with special operations forces as the core, and we must not feel that our past experience can make us always be kings in the field of guerrilla warfare.
