According to the latest information from the Russian Ministry of Defense, several military transport aircraft have delivered troops to Kazakhstan, which is a peacekeeping force affiliated with the Collective Security Treaty Organization and the first detachment of Russia's main peacekeeping force.

Serious unrest in most cities in Kazakhstan in recent days has attracted world attention. According to Kazakh state media, Kazakhstan has entered a state of emergency throughout the country due to anti-government demonstrations in the country.

It is also very necessary for Russia and the Collective Security Treaty Organization to intervene quickly, because it is directly related to whether Kazakhstan will be subverted by the color revolution.

Regarding the state of affairs in Kazakhstan and the reasons behind it, there are actually several issues that deserve our attention.

01 Russia intervened and quickly dispatched peacekeeping troops

According to the news of the Russian Ministry of Defense on the evening of January 6, the 45th Special Airborne Brigade of the Russian peacekeeping force, as well as airborne troops from Ivanovo and Ulyanovsk, have been sent to Kazakhstan for missions.

Airborne troops were sent because they arrived the fastest. In this way, it will be possible to help Kazakhstan stabilize the situation at the first time.

The Secretariat of the CSCE also released news on the 6th that the advance detachment of the organization's troops has begun to carry out the tasks assigned by the superior in Kazakhstan. Several military transport aircraft of the Russian Air and Space Force are dropping a Russian detachment of collective peacekeeping forces to Kazakhstan.

Because Kazakh President Tokayev has stated that the situation in Kazakhstan has entered the "destruction of the integrity of the country", he has sought assistance from CSCE "to overcome the threat of terrorism".

Subsequently, the CSCE Collective Security Council decided to send a collective peacekeeping force to Kazakhstan at Tokayev's request. The force will reportedly be stationed for a limited period of time to achieve stabilization and normalization of the situation in the country.

On the 6th, Valentina Matwiyanko, speaker of the Russian Federation Council, held telephone talks with Kazakh Parliament Speaker Aschenbayev.

Matviyenko expressed his confidence that the Government of Kazakhstan, with the support of the forces of the Collective Security Treaty Organization, will restore law and order as soon as possible, life will be normalized and criminals will be punished as they deserve.

The Russian Foreign Ministry also characterized the riots in Kazakhstan as "an attempt to undermine the integrity of the country from the outside." From this characterization, it can be seen that Russia and the Collective Security Treaty Organization have seen who is behind the riots and fanning the flames.

And it's not just Russia that's in action.

On January 6, a video released by Belarus's "Presidential Press Corps" showed Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko saying that within the framework of the Collective Security Treaty Organization, Belarus would send a company of peacekeepers to Kazakhstan.

"The leaders of the CSCE member states have agreed that peacekeepers should be sent to provide assistance to Kazakhstan," Lukashenko said. Therefore, divided into several echelons to drop troops from Moscow to Kazakhstan, our peacekeepers will depart from Minsk. A company of peacekeeping troops should be sent to Kazakhstan."

He also stressed that the Belarusian peacekeepers sent had received sufficient training.

The main task of the CSA peacekeeping force is to defend important state and military facilities, stabilize the situation and restore law and order to the forces that assist Kazakhstan in maintaining order.

The CCE secretariat said it "supports immediate measures to curb the sharp deterioration of Kazakhstan's internal politics and the trend towards increasing violence." We believe that the recent events in this country have been instigated from the outside in an attempt to undermine the security and integrity of the country through violent means through the help of well-trained and organized armed groups. ”

02 Kazakhstan is in turmoil, is the United States the beneficiary?

A key question is, why did this massive unrest in Kazakhstan break out?

Judging from current media reports, the initial reason for the demonstrations was that at the beginning of the new year of 2022, residents of some cities in The Mangistao Oblast in Kazakhstan's western oil-producing region took to the streets to protest the doubling of LPG prices. As a result, the President of Kazakhstan ordered the establishment of a government commission to investigate the situation.

The committee said on Jan. 4 that it was prepared to meet the main demands of the protesters not to raise the price of LNG, but to lower it a little more. However, the protests in Kazakhstan have not subsided, but have spread to other cities.

Therefore, it can be seen that this protest demonstration is not aimed at specific people's livelihood issues, but to provoke contradictions through people's livelihood issues, and then step by step to add political factors to it. The political intent to incite popular discontent against the Kazakh government and its leaders is clear.

Now Kazakh President Tokayev has dissolved the government and declared that it has a special responsibility for the protests. In fact, this is a very big concession to those who are dissatisfied, hoping to calm the mood and restore calm to the domestic situation. But if those who create the riots are not satisfied, is it obvious that they have ulterior motives?

Another question is, for whom is it good for a large-scale riot in Kazakhstan?

Tokayev has publicly appealed to people to be rational and not to be seduced by forces at home and abroad. Note that he emphasized "foreign powers" . He added that "the current regime will not fall" and that the country "needs not conflict, but mutual trust and dialogue."

Some scholars in Russia and Ukraine believe that the outbreak of mass protests in Kazakhstan is not accidental in the escalation of contradictions between Russia and the West. Because, before Russia and the United States and Russia and NATO are about to start a series of security negotiations, a large-scale riot just broke out in Kazakhstan around Russia, which will only distract Russia's attention, but the United States has more chips.

Therefore, when Kazakhstan entered a state of emergency, the Most Benefited were the Americans.

However, in response to this statement, the United States is certainly going to deny it. U.S. White House spokesman Psaki said there were some accusations of U.S. involvement in exacerbating the situation in Kazakhstan, which was false. She said the United States called on protesters in Kazakhstan to remain peaceful and for authorities to exercise restraint. It was the U.S. government's first official response to the outbreak of mass protests in Kazakhstan.

At the same time, Psaki also pointed the finger at Russia, declaring that those who say that the United States is the "driving force behind the scenes" are unreasonable judgments from Russia, and stressing that this is an "absolute lie" and belongs to the standard topic of Russian disinformation. Perhaps the United States saw that it was exposed by others and tried its best to defend itself.

03 The man behind the riots will be revealed?

Kazakhstan is a regional power in Central Asia, and its domestic economic situation is still good.

According to the data released by the Ministry of National Economy of Kazakhstan at the end of last year, in 2021, despite the impact of the new crown pneumonia epidemic and epidemic prevention restrictions, the Kazakh economy still maintained a certain growth rate. From January to November, Kazakhstan's GDP growth rate reached 3.8%, the service industry accelerated its recovery, the real economic sector maintained growth, the export acceleration led to the continuous expansion of the trade surplus, and the investment enthusiasm of the non-oil industry continued to increase.

So why are there still people who are so dissatisfied? Are color revolution mafias, non-governmental organizations (NGOs), facilitators of the Kazakh riots?

In his national address, Kazakh President Tokayev said that from now on, the Kazakh authorities will take the most severe measures to punish thugs who commit crimes during the demonstrations.

Moreover, Tokayev directly referred to these people as "criminals", according to official sources, as of the morning of the 6th, 8 police and National Guard soldiers were killed in the riots in Kazakhstan, and 317 people were injured. Tokayev said he had requested assistance from the Collective Security Treaty Organization to address the "terrorist threat" facing Kazakhstan.

Because, the rioters are occupying large facilities, including the hijacking of 5 aircraft in Almaty, including foreign aircraft. On January 6, the CSTA secretariat said it had received a request from Kazakhstan and said the situation in the country was seen as an "invasion of foreign-trained bandits."

Note that the definition given here is "invasion of foreign-trained bandits", that is, those who provoke riots and unrest are people and organizations associated with external forces, and they are specially trained by foreign countries. Combined with the previous color revolutions carried out by the United States and the West in Eastern Europe and Ukraine, Kazakhstan has another typical case.

Therefore, in order to cope with the current situation, Kazakhstan has cut off domestic network links in order to break the command of these behind-the-scenes black hands on the riots. Based on past experience, non-governmental organizations (NGOs) operating in the Central Asian region are likely to be one of the main drivers of this unrest.

Whether these NGOs have other foreign backgrounds, this possibility cannot be ruled out. It is well known that the Central Asian countries have achieved national transformation after independence, and most of them have adopted relatively liberal policies in the management of non-governmental organizations, allowing them to exist legally, including foreign non-governmental organizations.

Of course, in order to overcome the chaos caused by the proliferation of foreign NGOs, some countries have restricted their activities at the legislative level, such as Kazakhstan's promulgation of the NGO Law, which makes detailed provisions on the registration, funding, management and activities of foreign NGOs.

But even so, U.S. and Western NGOs have always found legal space to exploit and keep their activities on the margins. And these organizations and these people have strong disguises, so we have to be highly vigilant. Almaty police said on the 6th that dozens of attackers were killed due to an attempt to attack the police station building at night. Their identities are being confirmed.

It is believed that the black hand behind the riots may soon be revealed.
