In 2003, the so-called U.S.-led coalition overthrew Saddam Hussein's regime on the grounds that Iraq possessed "weapons of mass destruction." Upon hearing the verdict, Saddam Hussein shouted Long live Iraq! Bring down the invaders! On Eid al-Adha in late 2006, Saddam was hanged at the age of 69. Saddam's eldest daughter, Lagarde, came to Jordan with her sister and children after the fall in Baghdad.

After coming to Jordan, Lagarde actively campaigned to protect his father's rights and interests, hiring a lawyer for his father, but in the end it was to no avail, and he did not dare to watch the video of his father's hanging for a long time. Later, Lagarde built the world's largest statue of his father in Jordan, representing the national feelings of Iraqis who fled to This Country in Jordan and the affection of missing his father.
In early January 2022, Lagarde posted tribute to Iraq's heroes, paying tribute to all the brave Iraqi fighters who wrote the most wonderful epic of heroism and sacrifice for Iraq, sacrificed their lives for the arab nation's war of destiny, and put up resolute resistance in 2003, but Iraq eventually fell.
