Naughty Dog says they are working on multiple game projects. At Sony's CES 2022 launch, Studio Co-President Neil Druckmann mentioned the studio's current workload.
After reviewing the upcoming Uncharted movie and HBO's The Last of Us live-action series, Druckmann said, "We can't wait to share with you the multiple games we're working on. ”
Before the release of The Last Of Us 2 in June 2020, game director Druckmann had said that his next game could be a sequel, The Last of Us 3, which already had an outline of the story and could be a new IP.
In April 2021, Naughty Dog co-president Evan Wells said the studio was still struggling to execute the strategy of parallel development of multiple game projects, and that they first tried this strategy during the development of The Last survivor and Uncharted 3.
In mid-2021, a Naughty Dog job ad confirmed that the studio was working on its first solo multiplayer game, which could be a separate version of The Last of Us 2's deferred online multiplayer mode.
In addition, Naughty Dog is also said to be developing The Last Survivor: Remake for the PS5.
