Core Hong, a Korean-American employee who has been working for Naughty Dog since 2019, has been polishing the Korean localization of The Last Of Us 2, as well as participating in the game's multiplayer QA testing, as well as quality testing for Uncharted: Legacy of Thieves and a remake project.

Last year, there were rumors that Naughty Dog was building The Last Survivor: A Remake. Initially overseen by PlayStation Visual Arts as the main developer, Naughty Dog was in charge of using experimental machine algorithms to complete the next-generation graphics. But the new owners of Sony's global studios weren't happy with the remake, and the project eventually returned to Naughty Dog, and PlayStation Visual Arts was "demoted" to a supporting role.

Tom Henderson, an industry insider, broke the news that the "Last Survivor: Remake" project is nearing completion and may be released in the second half of 2022. At CES 2022, Naughty Dog co-president Neil Druckmann said he would love to share with fans the multiple game projects the studio is working on.
