The Propaganda Department of the CPC Central Committee and the National Development and Reform Commission recently released the 2023 "Star of Integrity" to the public, and Zhang Zhongmin, a retired employee of the XPCC, was on the list. This is the first time that XPCC personnel have been selected as "Integrity Stars" since the Propaganda Department of the CPC Central Committee and the National Development and Reform Commission launched the "Integrity Star" recommendation work in 2018.
Zhang Zhongmin, 64 years old this year, is a retired employee of the 71st Regiment of the Fourth Division. On June 5, 2010, Zhang Jiancheng and Zhang Zhongmin, who were then external staff members of the TV station of the 71st Regiment of the Fourth Division, went to the Jiulian Laoluchang area to overhaul the line, and Zhang Jiancheng accidentally fell from a telephone pole, resulting in paralysis of both lower limbs. Zhang Jiancheng's wife suffered from cor pulmonale and died soon after, after which Zhang Zhongmin took the initiative to take care of Zhang Jiancheng.
Over the past 13 years, regardless of spring, summer, autumn and winter, Zhang Zhongmin has always insisted on taking care of Zhang Jiancheng, bringing him food, massaging him, and rebuilding Zhang Jiancheng's confidence in life by accompanying each other and teaching cooking skills...... Honest and trustworthy, a promise of gold, Zhang Zhongmin writes sincerity with words and deeds, and engraves credibility with a lifetime. In 2023, Zhang Zhongmin won the honorary title of the 8th Moral Model ("Honest and Trustworthy" Model) of the XPCC.
