The Forbidden City, formerly known as the Forbidden City, is the royal palace of China's Ming and Qing dynasties, is the essence of ancient Chinese court architecture, how high its status, I believe that without saying more, then as the top building in ancient China, the plaque of the Forbidden City is absolutely the top priority, but friends who have been to the Forbidden City may find that on a plaque in the Forbidden City, there is actually an arrow inserted, and no one dares to pull it out for more than 200 years.
The story begins in 1813 AD, when the ruler of the Qing Dynasty was the Jiaqing Emperor, the fifth emperor after the Qing Dynasty was set in Beijing, the son of the Qianlong Emperor. It is said that September 1813 was the day when the Jiaqing Emperor wanted to go hunting in the Mulan Paddock, and the emperor traveled, so naturally he had to take a hundred officials of civil and military affairs with him, guarded by heavy troops, and there were naturally not many people in the capital.
The Jiaqing Emperor did not expect that a group of people had already set an opportunity to rush into the palace under the assistance of the eunuchs, causing "something that had not happened to the Han, Tang, and Song Ming", hundreds of peasants actually killed people and set fires in the Forbidden City, and the palace eunuchs were in a mess.
Lin Qing, born in 1770, his father was originally a scribe of Huangcun Yamen, after his father's death he took this position, but 1 year later he was dismissed because he was not clear for being an official, and later ran to open a teahouse, a hawker, became a city scoundrel, a charlatan, but he was not convinced, thinking that he could have a higher status.
Lin Qing, who was mixed in the city, had a particularly flexible mind, so he joined the Tianli Sect and soon had a place in it. What is the purpose of the "Tenrikyo Sect"? In fact, it is a branch of the "White Lotus Sect", to put it bluntly, it is a folk religious group that engages in the "anti-Qing uprising", and in order to attract ordinary people to join, these groups have many feudal superstitions, for example, a certain leader is the reincarnation of the true son of heaven, and he wants to lead them to become human beings again.
Lin Qing, who became the small head of the Tianli Sect, enjoyed unprecedented treatment and no longer had to worry about no money to spend, as recorded in the historical records: "Because he has been in charge of teaching for a long time, he has accumulated silver rice, and his family business is quite rich, so he has the ambition to not succeed." So Lin Qing had his own plan, he wanted to seize the emperor's throne.
Lin Qing was a generous man, and in order to win over others, he promised: "Whoever gives money and grain, after Xu Qian and Li Wencheng are accomplished, give land acres and official positions, every money and hundreds of yuan, Xu Land is one..." Many people were attracted by his words and joined him one after another, including eunuchs in the palace and some bannermen, which provided favorable conditions for Lin Qing to attack the Forbidden City in the future.
They chose September 15, 1813, for this operation, they planned several months in advance, and finally decided to divide into 2 teams into the city, from the East Hua Gate, Xihua Gate 2 directions to attack the Forbidden City, and at each entrance there are eunuchs to pick them up in advance, these peasants disguised early into the ordinary people, just wait for the 15th day to attack!
On September 15, they acted according to the plan, but the guards of Donghua Gate found that something was wrong, urgently closed the city gate, and the Qing army and the rebel army fought on the spot, but as mentioned above, the Jiaqing Emperor went out hunting, and there was no one in the Forbidden City at all! The Qing army at Donghuamen tried to resist, and even the emperor's second son Mianning came to the aid with his escorts, and the rebel army at Donghuamen was surrounded.
As a result, bad news came from Xihua Gate, "the thieves have gathered to attack the Longzong Gate", ready to take the Emperor's residence Yangxin Hall in one fell swoop, everyone panicked, but the anger of the emperor's second son Mianning and The Prince of Cheng, Yong mao, far exceeded the panic, they quickly gathered the most elite firearms battalion in the Qing army, Mianning took the gun and personally killed the thief who climbed the wall, stabilizing the army's heart, and the two sides fought fiercely until the night, and the Qing army won the victory. Later, Lin Qing was arrested and executed by Ling Chi.
At this time, the Jiaqing Emperor, who was in the field, hurried back, and he shouted at the ministers: "How strong I was before the Qing Dynasty, and now I have caused this matter, and I am all to blame for Liang de' devotion." When he finished speaking, he actually cried, and everyone wept.
Now in the Forbidden City's "Longzong Gate", there are arrows left by the fierce battle of that year, and the Jiaqing Emperor, in order to remember this humiliating day, ordered everyone not to unplug it, so that future generations can remember the lesson, which is the origin of the arrow on the plaque of "Longzong Gate".
