A few days later people learned about this matter, at that time it was still strange who the person who came was, and this old man named Ou Baichuan was taken away and became the vice governor of Guizhou Province, everyone lamented that the old man was made big, in fact, what everyone didn't know was that the old man deserved it, otherwise Mr. He would not have personally found it.
Ou Baichuan was born in Songtao, Guizhou, to a family of scholars, and grew up reading poetry and dabbling in politics, military, and law. In 1920, at the age of 24, he joined the Qian Army and became a subordinate of He Long during the Northern Expedition. He was brave and good at war, and captured hundreds of pieces of guns and ammunition in the battle of Taoyuan, Hunan, and He Long was very important to him.
Later, the troops were blocked by Wu Peifu's men, sacrificing many soldiers, seeing that this battle had the possibility of failure, but Ou Baichuan did not believe in life, he took off his shirt, took out a fierce force to lead the remaining soldiers to attack, under his infection, everyone's morale came up, not only broke through the blockade but also won the victory. He Long personally dressed him and praised him greatly.
He Long later became the commander of the 20th Army of the National Revolutionary Army, and Ou Baichuan also grew up to be the deputy commander of the First Division under his command, and secretly joined the Communist Party of China with He Long. During the Nanchang Uprising, he made military achievements and was praised and recognized by our party. Later, the troops went south and were fiercely attacked by the enemy, because the disparity in strength between the two sides was too large, and the battle was extremely difficult, and Ou Baichuan and He Long lost contact.
The enemy took this opportunity to spread propaganda everywhere that He Long and Ou Baichuan had been captured by them, but in fact, only Ou Baichuan was captured at that time, and he was taken to Shantou to be reorganized, and finally became a chief of staff at the independent division Luo Qijiang. Because of Chiang Kai-shek's anti-communist tactics, Ou Baichuan had to oppose the Communists under Luo Qijiang, which was something he did not want to see, so Luo Qijiang transferred him away.
After the Lugou Bridge Incident, he rushed to Shanghai with his soldiers and rushed to the front line to negotiate with the Japanese army. In 1938, he became the commander of the 82nd Division, resisted the Japanese in Changsha, Jiangxi and other places, attracted the attention of Chen Cheng, the commander of the Nationalist Army, and then arrested him, Ou Baichuan saw through Chen Cheng's fake anti-Japanese face, and instead informed Chiang Kai-shek of the First Army, causing Chen Cheng's dissatisfaction and retaliation. In order to preserve the strength of the 82nd Army, he went to the Army University to study. After graduation, he lived in seclusion.
When Xiushan was liberated in 1949, he took the initiative to help the Communist Party raise grain and grass, maintain law and order, and persuade local troops to submit. In the summer of 1950, He Long began to inquire about Ou Baichuan's whereabouts, and eventually found him in a small village in Guizhou. Ou Baichuan died in 1970, during which time he served as vice governor of Guizhou Province, a deputy to the First National People's Congress, and also went to Xinjiang and Tibet to pay tribute.
