An 82-year-old grandmother in Ohio, USA, died of COVID-19, all because her card friends hid the truth of the infection, but they were in close contact with others, resulting in the spread of the new crown virus.

Barb Bartolovich, 82, was vaccinated against the virus and took strict safety precautions, including interacting only with people who were vaccinated. Everyone in the poker game she was going to play claimed to have been vaccinated, but one person hid the truth about his covid-19 infection.
Babo is a blood cancer survivor who has a weak immune system despite being vaccinated. Soon after, she developed symptoms of COVID-19 and her condition deteriorated, eventually passing away on December 21.
Granddaughter Lauren Nash said: "The only chance we had to know the truth was when this man confessed the truth after Grandma fell ill. Nash was also disturbed by the friend's behavior.
Babo's death comes amid a surge in COVID-19 cases and deaths in Ohio and the rest of the United States. Ohio set a new daily record for 24 December, with a total of 20,598 new cases reported.
According to the state's department of health, the state has averaged 11,797 new cases per day over the past 21 days.
