The three brothers joined the Red Army one after another, lost contact, and all became founding major generals after the founding of the country

As the saying goes, "fight father and son soldiers, fight tiger brothers", in the military camp, the ancient military family is very common, some official positions are the father and son, and many skills also have to be traced back to the origin of family learning.

More importantly, from ancient times to the present, wartime armies have been the most stringent group of orders carried out by all mankind. Because the success rate of military projects not only requires the wisdom of senior officers, but also requires the cooperation and execution of lower soldiers.

Therefore, the ancient military system has hereditary characteristics for a long time. For example, the military household system inherited from the Tang Dynasty to the Ming Dynasty is a kind of inheritance of ancestral identity by descendants, and the children of military households are still military households; while the Eight Flags system that the Qing Dynasty inherited for a hundred years, the Green Camp system after the decline of the Eight Banners, and the Huai Army after the decay of the Green Camp, all of which are based on the personal connections of the same ethnic group, the same township, and the same year, so they all played a major role in a certain period of time and strengthened the military combat effectiveness of the Qing Dynasty.

Since the period of the agrarian revolution, many people in the liberated areas have actively participated in the people's army, introduced themselves to each other by the same ethnic group, fellow villagers, and classmates, and enthusiastically joined the army.

However, the brave soldiers died in hundreds of battles, the general returned for ten years, for the country and the people, there were many victims, but few people were able to return safely.

In Hong'an, Hubei Province, the old revolutionary area, there are three heroes who have returned from hundreds of battles, they are cousins who are like their own children, starting from the Long March, going through the agrarian revolutionary war, the War of Resistance Against Japan, and the War of Liberation, not only ushered in the founding of New China, but also became the famous founding major generals!

Dekeling, Dekeming and Cheng Qiwen (from left to right)

They were three generals from the famous general county of Hong'an, Hubei Province: the three brothers Dai Kelin, Dai Keming and Cheng Qiwen.

First, when they meet and laugh, they are a family

In the summer of 1939, two years after the outbreak of the War of Resistance Against Japan, in order to resist the aggression of Japanese imperialism, the second Kuomintang-Communist cooperation was in full swing, and the Chinese Workers' and Peasants' Red Army and guerrilla units were reorganized into the new Fourth Army of the National Revolutionary Army, commonly known as the New Fourth Army.

At the same time, the Kuomintang anti-Japanese frontal battlefield ushered in a stage of stalemate, and the two sides launched a tug-of-war in the central theater.

In order to discuss the next operational situation, the New Fourth Army held its first congress, and Dai Keming, as a representative of the army, went to Jing County, Anhui Province, to attend the meeting.

After arriving at the meeting place, Dai Keming shared the same dormitory with another reconnaissance staff officer, and when he learned that this staff officer and he still had the same surname, Dai Keming was very surprised.

In China, the surname Dai is a small surname, whether historical or modern, the number of people is not much, so Dai Keming can't help but have a touch of affection for him.

The same was true of the staff officer, who after he enlisted, rarely saw people with the same surname, and he was also very curious about the friendly comrade in front of him, so the two of them chatted and talked to each other about the scene when they joined the army.

What's more coincidental is that they are talking and talking, and the excitement reveals the local tone, it turns out that everyone is Hubei people, and this relationship is even closer. You can't write two dai words in one stroke, five hundred years ago it was one.

As a result, the opposite Ofe Dekeming asked the other party's name, it was no coincidence that it was not a book, this person's name was Deklin, and his name was only the last word, not to mention the same family, saying that it was the same generation of the family can make sense.

Dai Keming thought to himself, it wouldn't be such a coincidence, I changed my name after participating in the revolution, if Brother Daoju was still alive, he wouldn't be so clever and change the exact same word as me.

However, the staff officer on the other side talked about his hometown with him, and the more Dai Keming listened to it, the more familiar he became, and he couldn't help but stand up, and he asked in a trembling voice: "You... Are you Brother Daoju? ”

Dekelin was also stunned on the spot, looking at him carefully and asking, "Are you really Daokui?" ”

From 1929 to 1939, ten years of life and death are unknown, after the two people participated in the revolution at the same time, they would be separated from each other for many years, but they did not expect to be reunited in another country, this scene of sadness and joy made the two brothers sigh with emotion, fortunate that they survived, straight to god has eyes.

Second, the red devil has become a general in a hundred battles, and Dexterine has lived up to expectations

The story begins at the beginning, in the Dai family, Dai Kelin is the elder brother, his original name is Dai Daoju, because his relatives in his hometown were repeatedly slaughtered by the Kuomintang during the Great Revolution, and the casualties in the family were exhausted, and he and his mother left their hometown to wander around in order to avoid the massacre.

After 1929, he returned to his hometown, but he saw that the once prosperous family had long been lonely, and in desperation, he took his cousin Dai Daokui to defect to the revolutionary army.

Speaking of which, Dekeming's revolutionary history is not short, as early as he was thirteen years old, he joined the Boy Scouts, which is the predecessor of the Young Pioneers, similar to the Boy Scouts of the United States.

Dykemin

During the Period of the Revolution, unlike today, wars involved every man, woman, child and woman, children could not stay out of it, and their childhood was not only about learning, but also about facing cruel enemies and blood at any time.

And Decklin was the leader of the boy team at that time, he began to serve as the captain very early, in order to strengthen the combat effectiveness and let the children protect themselves in the cruel struggle, he organized the members of the children's group to carry out scientific and reasonable reorganization, and formed the Young Peasant Self-Defense Army.

Although children cannot directly participate in the war, they all have a certain degree of self-protection ability, using simple sticks and other weapons for daily training.

Dekelin joined the Red Army at the age of 16, is a famous little red devil, he joined the Red Fourth Front, although he is very young, but the qualifications are very old, from the propaganda captain to the health captain and other logistics troops, and then was transferred to the regular army as a company instructor, company commander, battalion commander and other positions, really from the corpse mountain and blood sea of hundreds of battles cadres.

Later, during the Long March, he was seriously injured in a battle along the Hexi Corridor, and his entire left foot was pierced by bullets, forming an open penetrating wound.

The roof leaked in the rain overnight, and there was not enough antibiotics and medicine for his wounds on the march, and his wounds worsened and became inflamed, unable to keep up with the march of the large army.

In order not to drag everyone down, Dekelin was helpless to be separated from the large troops, but he turned to the revolutionary army and begged along the road from the Hexi area to the Yan'an Liberated Area.

However, he did not settle down in Yan'an for long, and he treated himself as a brick, where it needed to be moved. After that, the formation of the New Fourth Army needed military talents, and without saying a word, he went south from Yan'an to the southern Anhui region, which led to the reunion with his cousin.

Third, the gathering is a fire, scattered into the sky full of stars

Although the two Dai brothers have very different personalities, they are both people who speak with strength. In the War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression and the War of Liberation, they each handed over beautiful answer sheets and dealt a heavy blow to the Japanese army and the Kuomintang.

Decklin had a jumpy personality, a lively mind, and a very quick reflex, and was an excellent soldier who stood out from his reconnaissance work, but he was also very talented in commanding battles.

In 1940, when Dekelin was still operating on the battlefield behind enemy lines controlled by the Japanese, Tan Zhenlin was in charge of the work, and he once took Daiklin and others to Suzhou disguised and disguised, risking great risks to reconnoiter the enemy situation.

They were staying in a hotel, and because the Japanese repeatedly interrogated them, they had to watch a series of movies outside in order to avoid interrogation. Even in this atmosphere of white terror, Decklin and the others are still at ease, not afraid of the enemy's obscenity.

Decklin was appointed detachment leader for his excellent work, and once when they were still in a meeting, the Japanese suddenly attacked.

At that time, Deklin had just returned from the enemy-occupied areas, wearing a robe and a Western-style top hat, not at all like an officer of the Workers' and Peasants' Red Army, but like a traitor under the Japanese. But the time was too late, and Tan Zhenlin gave orders to Deklin: "You go and command quickly and repel this enemy." ”

When Deklin received the order, he immediately stood up and said, "Yes! ”

But he looked down at his dress, and suddenly reacted: "But do the troops still recognize me like this?" Don't be caught as a traitor! ”

However, 100,000 people had no time to change their clothes, and Dekelin ran to the front line wearing this outfit and shouted: "I am the detachment leader, all obey my command!" ”

The army was immediately overwhelmed by his momentum, and Deklin turned to the roof and personally opened the telescope to reconnoiter the enemy, and the others no longer suspected him.

All along, our army has had such a tradition, that is, the officers who command the battle are all soldiers in the front, and they have never sat in the rear and let their soldiers go to their deaths first. Because Decklin was charging forward, all his soldiers were forbidden and obeyed the orders.

Deklin watched the enemy coming from the road, the threat was menacing, he transferred an automatic machine gun from the rear, not only personally, under one order, ten thousand guns fired at the same time, the enemy did not expect to have such a strong firepower in this small place, for a while the fart urine flowed, all rolled on the spot, looking for cover everywhere to protect themselves.

In fact, there were not many troops here at that time, but they were caught off guard by the other side for a while, fortunately, it was not long before Chen Ting came with detachment reinforcements, and the two repelled the invading Japanese army together.

Mr. and Mrs. Dekemin and Mr. and Mrs. Deckering

In the War of Liberation, the two brothers were not far apart and wrote a magnificent chapter on the battlefield of the Central Plains.

First, let's look at his younger brother Dai Keming, in the summer of 1946, the Liberation War began, and Dai Keming broke through to the west in the Southern Route Army of the Central Plains Military Region. At that time, the main force of the Southern Route Army had already crossed Xiangshui, but Dai Keming's eighth regiment was separated from the main force, the Xiangshui ferry had been blocked, and there were Kuomintang planes circling and bombing at any time in the sky.

What is worse is that because the strength of the enemy and us was very far apart at that time, many people were desperate for the future of the revolution, and even the regimental commander planned to escape with a map.

At this moment, Dai Keming shouted with his arms: "Don't be chaotic, as long as there is a party, as long as the gun is not lost, we will certainly be able to overcome the difficulties in front of us and successfully break through." ”

At this moment, Brigadier Min Xuesheng successfully met with the eighth and sixth regiments with radio and maps, and they held an emergency meeting together, decided to lead the troops to break through to the north, bypassing the Kuomintang troops waiting here, and then detoured from the west, after nearly a month of marching, they finally arrived in Henan in early August and met the main force victory division.

Later, in the book "History of the Breakthrough in the Central Plains", This meritorious deed of Dai Keming was summarized, and at that time, the Southern Route Army was facing the danger of total annihilation, and it was Dai Keming and several other comrades who were not afraid of danger that they turned the danger into a disaster, preserved the fire for the revolution, and created conditions for the subsequent great counteroffensive.

Dekelin, on the other hand, confronted the Kuomintang ace army in the War of Liberation, and it should be known that the enemy faced was the reorganized 74th Division of Chiang Kai-shek's troops, all of which were equipped with American mechanization, and their combat effectiveness was the strongest.

Dekelin's men are the East China Field Army, which can be described as millet plus rifles, relying only on their own two legs, straight into the enemy's heart, in order to compete for the 330 heights.

At that time, the 6th Regiment had just captured the village, but the enemy's artillery superiority launched a fierce attack on the 6th Regiment. The Decklin troops had just occupied this high ground, and the entire Meng Lianggu appeared in the field of vision, but the enemy knew the strategic significance of the 330 heights, and at all costs, wanted to retake the position, and in less than 24 hours, organized more than a dozen charge, but our army gave a fierce counterattack and did not give way.

By the third night, the real general offensive began, and the artillery fire again and again illuminated the sky of Meng Lianggu as if it were daylight, and the entire 330 heights were almost flattened by shells, and the artillery fire left not even a single grass left on the position.

Dai Kelin led his troops to charge from a commanding height, and in a flash, the sound of artillery fire, shouting and killing, and screaming sounded in the ears, and the entire position was shaken by gun smoke, and the enemy did not win after all, and Meng Lianggu's bloody price persisted, encircling and cutting Zhang Lingfu's troops inch by inch, and finally winning a great victory.

Fourth, stealth the New Fourth Army, see each other after the founding of the Country

Interestingly, the two brothers had already recognized each other during the War of Resistance Against Japan, but what they didn't know was that their cousin Cheng Qiwen was also in the New Fourth Army, and everyone hated each other, but they never met.

The three brothers joined the Red Army one after another, lost contact, and all became founding major generals after the founding of the country

Cheng Qiwen

In 1929, Cheng Qiwen was just 14 years old and was clamoring to go with the troops. At that time, the comrades in charge of recruiting new soldiers in the Red Army said: You do not have a gun commander, how can you afford to carry a gun? But Cheng Qiwen was not discouraged, repeatedly came to ask people, what methods were used, and finally went through a "back door" in order to become a soldier and participate in the revolution.

He asked his cousin to find the captain of the local Red Army, so that he could tell the truth before he entered the army. At this time, the two brothers of Kerminklin had just joined the army, and since then the three of them have been separated.

Although Cheng Qiwen was young, he was willing to learn and endure hardships, and followed the Red Army of the Long March north to the revolutionary base area of Eyu and Shaanxi. At that time, he was only seventeen years old, and he had not yet reached adulthood, so he became the secretary of the Young Communist Party of China's Shangluo Special Committee.

For the young secretary, a more severe test is yet to come. At that time, the local armed forces of the Shangluo Special Committee were very weak, and there were only more than 300 people in full count, but it was such a young contingent that had just been attacked and surrounded by the Kuomintang Shaanxi army at the beginning of its establishment.

In the fierce battle, the commander Liu Shitong was seriously wounded and died on the spot, the deputy commander Yue Xinming was wounded and captured and killed by the enemy, Song Xingguo led more than thirty people of the second detachment at a critical moment to kill a bloody road to break through smoothly, and Cheng Qiwen also successfully escaped with them.

However, this remaining Red Army detachment was less than one-tenth of its original detachment, and it was scattered under the enemy's encirclement, blockade, and constant encroachment.

Song Xingguo, who successfully broke through, saw the tragic situation of his comrades, was deeply ashamed, and had the heavy trust of everyone, and when everyone was taking care of themselves, he suddenly pointed his pistol at his temple, only to hear a crisp sound, and Song Xingguo committed suicide.

At this time, the dragons were leaderless, and many people had already lost their fighting spirit in the face of such a tragic scene, and they were about to go to a desperate situation.

Cheng Qiwen was ordered to be in the midst of danger, and he quickly gathered the remaining comrades and held a brief meeting. Faced with the reality of the disparity between the enemy and the enemy, he encouraged everyone to look forward together and rekindle the fire of revenge. After some democratic discussion, everyone unanimously agreed that Cheng Qiwen would serve as the leader of this detachment.

Cheng Qiwen decided to take everyone to find the Red 25th Army and meet the division. Through the local secret agent, he learned of the movement of the Red Army, so he hurried to pursue it, all the way over the mountains and mountains, without stopping.

The three brothers joined the Red Army one after another, lost contact, and all became founding major generals after the founding of the country

However, at the place of Huangbai Fork, he learned that a local militia group had intercepted passers-by because of the rush to repair military fortifications. After there were pursuing soldiers, they could not stay, Cheng Qiwen immediately made a decision, ordered all the modifications, and quickly crossed this pass!

Cheng Qiwen knew that this matter could not be hardened, and he needed to be careful, so he first disguised himself, and all his men changed into various costumes of the local vigilante group.

Cheng Qiwen swung a palanquin to Huangbai Fork, and as soon as he landed, the "adjutant" who was waiting here in advance immediately saluted, coaxed the local people's team leader into a stunned state, and thought that there was a big figure in the central government, and quickly nodded his head and came to report to Cheng Qiwen.

Cheng Qiwen looked at their fortifications with satisfaction, nodded, asked people to put away their guns and rest, and sent them some cigarettes. The leader of the militia team had to do so, who knew that under the order of Cheng Qiwen, the members of the Red Army detachment suddenly appeared and quickly controlled the situation at the scene, and the armed forces of the entire militia regiment had been captured without a single shot, not only capturing a large number of gunpowder guns, but also dismissing all the armed personnel of the militia regiment.

After nearly a year of arduous trekking, this Red Army detachment conquered the county seat of Luonan in the spring of the following year, and finally won a round with the Red 25th Army.

It was not until ten years after the founding of New China that Dekelin and Cheng Qiwen met in Nanjing, and only then did the three brothers learn that the other was still alive, and at this time they were still only colonels and did not become major generals.

Cheng Qiwen was in the New Fourth Army from the time of the War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression and in the Four Fields Unit during the War of Liberation, and was promoted to major general in 1961, and was the first among his brothers to be promoted to major general.

Dekelin served as regimental chief of staff, regimental commander, division commander, deputy commander and other positions, and was promoted to major general in 1964 during the Liberation War in the Sanye Army.

Dai Keming, on the other hand, served in the organs for many years, initially as the captain of the radio guard, the chief of the accounting section, and the chief of the organization section, and later served as the political commissar of the regiment, the deputy commander of the military sub-district, the deputy political commissar, and other positions.

Now, it seems how tragic it is to be at home and throw yourself into the revolution, the country is in great trouble, the people have ten rooms and nine empty, and there is no one in a hundred.

Our today's ordinary is the happiness that the predecessors have experienced hardships and can not get, security and stability have never been within reach, we may as well change the way of life from today, look back at history, and cherish everything.
