The most realistic head-up display ever! Panasonic releases AR-HUD with eye tracking

The 2022 CES exhibition, which has opened in Las Vegas, USA, at the exhibition, Panasonic launched the AR-HUD 2.0 system with eye tracking patents, through which ar images can be more accurately focused on the real world in front of the driver's eyes, improving the realism and presence of the images in the driver's field of vision.

According to Panasonic, the HUD prompt information of the vehicle can meet the driver's observation and use from any angle, and there is a sense of presence that really appears in front of the eyes.

According to reports, the system is based on ETS technology, which is implemented by an infrared camera encapsulated together by AR-HUD and optics, without the need for a separate driver-facing camera.

Through ETS technology, the driver's head position and head movement can be recognized, and the image in the field of view can be dynamically adjusted and compensated, even if the driver constantly moves his head and changes his line of sight, he can see the icons superimposed in the AR-HUD.

Up to 10m can project large images at a distance of up to 10m, being able to identify objects in front of the car and warning the driver by displaying an alarm in the HUD, if the object is in the HUD view, a red square will be displayed around the identified object.

At the same time, the system also supports driver monitoring functions such as fatigue monitoring and distraction monitoring.
