Hyundai Motor Group recently unveiled CES 2022, bringing the Mobility of Things (MoT) concept and the PnD modular platform.
The PnD module is a mobile solution that integrates steering, braking, in-wheel electric drive and suspension hardware. It allows for 360-degree rotation, allowing for full motion, and lidar and camera sensors allow it to move autonomously. At the same time, PnD modules can be attached to any object for scalable mobility.
MobED, whose full name is Mobile Eccentric Droid, has a very low and flat body and independent wheels in the four corners of the body. The four wheels not only steer independently, but also ensure that the vehicle maintains its optimum posture with extremely large travels, thus meeting the needs of different use cases.
It is worth mentioning that each wheel is equipped with three motors to ensure power, steering and braking. At the same time, the eccentric wheel is designed to control its height. The data shows that its wheels are 12 inches in diameter, the vehicle is 67 centimeters long, 60 centimeters wide, 33 centimeters high and weighs 50 kilograms. The wheelbase can be extended up to 65 cm, the minimum can be shortened to 45 cm, the battery capacity is 2 kWh, the speed is 30 km / h, and the full power can last about 4 hours.
