Intel: New graphics chips began to ship, and Dell, Lenovo, Samsung and other cooperation

IT House January 5 news, according to The Verge, Arc GPU is one step closer to gamers, Intel announced at CES 2022, has begun shipping the first generation of Arc Alchemist GPUs to desktop and laptop OEM (original equipment manufacturer) customers, including Acer, Asus, Clevo, Dell, Gigabyte, Haier, HP, Lenovo, Samsung, MSI and NEC.

IT House learned that in August 2021, Intel announced a new brand of high-performance graphics products, Intel Arc. Intel Sharp is built for consumers and covers hardware, software, and services. Its hardware offerings will span multiple generations, including not only the first generation of Xe HPG microarchitecture-based Alchemist graphics (DG2), but also subsequent generations code-named Battlemage, Celestial, and Druid.

Arc GPUs are Intel's biggest attempt at graphics and to date against AMD and Nvidia GPUs in laptops and desktops.

Arc GPUs also promise support for advanced gaming and creative features, including hardware-accelerated ray tracing and XeSS, and Intel AI-accelerated supersampling.

However, there is still no news about when the first devices equipped with Intel Arc GPUs will be shipped. There is no official information on how many different models of The Alchemist GPU, the actual specifications and price of the graphics card, and other key details.
