The vitality of the earth is the work of creation. All the elegance and beauty of the spirit are also given by God and the blessings of all beings.

Jining, named after Jishui, thrives on canals. The banks of the great rivers have bred simple villagers, brave people, elegant fashions and rich cultural atmosphere.

Originating south of the Yellow River, the land of the elephants of Wang Wu Taiyi (legend has it that Dayu Zhishui, Jiuding, Jiuzhou, the birthplace of Jishui is located in Yuzhou, the center of Kyushu. The Shuowen Jiezi says: "Yu, the great one who is like an elephant." "Yu is an elephant. Since its birth, Jishui has the potential to contain the courage of the world and look down on all sentient beings. Zhou Yi said: "Just respond and act, move along." "Jishui carries the wind and thunder into the sea with its bravery, moisturizes both sides of the strait with its tenderness, and blesses the four sides."

Jishui had a prominent position in ancient times. Erya, which pioneered the special book of exhortations and is known as the "First Dictionary of China", called the four rivers that flow into the sea alone, named the Yangtze River, the Yellow River, the Huai River, and the Jishui River the "Four Dudes". Ancient emperors sacrificed the famous mountain Dachuan, that is, sacrificed the five mountains and four blasphemy.

Regarding the flow of Water in Ji, it is recorded in the Yu Gong: "The water flows east into Ji, into the river, overflowing into Xing, east from Tao Qiu North, and east to He, northeast to Yuwen, and north to east to the sea." "Jishui appears three times in the mountains and rivers and valleys, crosses the Yellow River without being muddy, with a clear heart, folds into the sea, and gracefully shuttles through the alpine plains with an ordinary posture, giving birth to a peaceful way of life among the Jining people on the riverbank."

"The terrain is high-pitched, the Guanjin is dangerous, and it can be safe and tranquil", Jining Rencheng is a quiet and tranquil place in Jishui, with a wide river surface and flat terrain, which has bred the spirit and strength of Jining generations of people. The ancients called the great river that flows into the sea alone and has its own source "blasphemy.". Emperor Taizong of Tang once asked the chancellor Xu Jingzong: "The great valley of the world's torrents does not contain ceremonies, and the water is very delicate and respected, so why not?" Xu Jingzong replied: "It is a matter of desecration as a word of independence, not because the remaining water can go to the sea alone, and the undercurrent of Ji has been repeatedly extinguished, although the shape is subtle, it is also respected alone." "Although Jishui is subtle, it can flow into the sea alone, and jishui's tenacious spirit of not giving up on the sea is the reason why it has always been ranked among the four blasphemy." Jining, which is nourished by the irrigation of Jishui, although there is no geography of great dangers and great evils, and there is no momentum of majestic galloping, it has always been in the territory of ten thousand miles with a moderate and harmonious mentality, and has stubbornly survived between the vicissitudes of several lifetimes, embodying the survival philosophy of Jining people who have done nothing. Jining, nurtured by Ji Shui, gave birth to brilliant ideas such as Confucianism, Ink Studies, and Taoism, which came from ancient times and will surely be passed on to future generations.

The Beijing-Hangzhou Grand Canal is one of the oldest canals in the world, and the world's largest and longest-mileage ancient canal. The excavation of the canal has played an important role in the economic and cultural exchanges and development along the coast and the entire northern and southern regions of China, and Jining has flourished because of the canal. The canal was first excavated in the Spring and Autumn Period, when the State of Wu dug the river channel for The Qi, and in the middle of the Sui Dynasty, it is said that the Sui Emperor Yang Guang expanded the canal for the sake of Qionghua, and the waterway traffic from Luoyang to Zhuo County was passed through, and the Yuan Dynasty set the capital of Beijing, and abandoned Luoyang, changing the canal to Beijing.

Until the Song Dynasty, the economic center moved south, because of the convenience of long-distance transportation of bulk commodities, Caoyun received unprecedented attention, Jining was therefore powerful and unprecedented prosperity. Jining is located in the middle of the canal, and the Beijing-Hangzhou Grand Canal flows through Liangshan, Wenshang, Jiaxiang, Rencheng, Yutai, Weishan and other areas. Due to its location in the middle of the canal, Jining has become a city with water routes and north-south rushes, and has become the economic and political center of southwest Lu. By the middle of the Ming Dynasty, Jining had developed into an extremely prosperous commercial city of "the city of the five capitals of Shangjia and Shangjia".

Since the founding of the People's Republic of China, the Jining section of the canal has been repaired for many years, and now it has become a comprehensive canal integrating shipping, disaster relief, water transfer and tourism, and has produced huge economic, political and social benefits, and Jining, which runs through the canal, has also been greatly developed.

To this day, this ancient canal of "three points to the heavens, seven points to the south of the river" continues to exude vitality in the hot land of Jining. This is a legacy that we have inherited and developed from our ancestors and will pass on to future generations. Jining, the civilization bred by this great river, shows a more youthful and healthy heartbeat in the new era, and the people living in Jining also inherit the spirit, strength and wisdom left by the great rivers and rivers from generation to generation; continue the industrious, simple and moderate lifestyle under the great river civilization, and create new value in the new era. Jining, the life nurtured by this great river civilization, is embracing this era in a more enthusiastic way.
