In 1937, the Japanese army invaded China in an all-round way, the Kuomintang army was defeated and retreated, and Chiang Kai-shek retreated to Chongqing, having no time to take care of Mao Fumei in his hometown. In 1939, the Japanese army made a harsh remark that chiang kai-shek should surrender as soon as possible, otherwise it would bomb his hometown of Xikou. Of course, old Chiang Kai-shek refused, and the Japanese did what they said they really sent planes to Xikou Town to bomb Chiang Kai-shek's old mansion.
On December 12, the Japanese sent six planes to xikou town and began to bomb indiscriminately. Mao Fumei actually got the news early and ran out of the house with someone to hide outside. Unexpectedly, the old lady ran halfway, suddenly remembered that her own key was not brought, the house was not locked, and hurried home to get the key to lock the door.
At this time, a bomb on the Japanese plane landed in the Fenghao room, and Mao Fumei was running outside the door of the Fenghao room and was killed by the bomb on the spot, and he was just 57 years old when he died. When Chiang Ching-kuo received the news, he wrote down the words "blood for blood," which were carved on a stone stele and stood in the place where his mother died.
