Xu Baihua was born in 1922 in Wuwei County, Anhui Province, the family conditions are not bad, his father sent him to a private school to study, but Xu Baihua is not very interested in reading, especially his teacher is very stubborn, so he can't stand it, and he dropped out of school after a few years of study.

After the outbreak of the All-out War of Resistance, Japanese devils entered Anhui and often went to his village to burn and loot, Xu Baihua was very angry and decided to teach them a lesson.

One day in 1941, two more Japanese devils came to the village, and Xu Baihua had a plan, put on his sister's flower clothes, and sat at the entrance of the village to wave to the two devils. When the devils saw this, they laughed and ran to him, and when they came closer, Xu Baihua picked up the sticks that had been hidden in advance, and slammed a stick at one of the devils, and then immediately pounced on the other devil, knocked him down, and finally dragged the two to the back of the firewood stack, strangled them with a rope, and threw the body into the big river behind the village and floated away.

Xu Baihua, who had run into the catastrophe, knew that he could not stay at home, so he put on the clothes of Japanese devils, took their guns, mixed with many blockade lines of the Japanese puppet army, and defected to the anti-Japanese guerrillas.

Xu Baihua fought in the guerrillas for several years, always thinking of joining the regular New Fourth Army, and finally realized his wish in 1944 and became a soldier in the New Fourth Army.

In his later years, Xu Baihua recalled that his first battle with the Japanese army accumulated an experience: our bayonet fighting technology may not be as good as that of the little Japanese, but as long as we have fierceness, we can also kill them!

It was when he was fighting the devils in Yuncao Town, Xu Baihua followed the team to attack the front of the Japanese bunker with a drum, and suddenly, a devil sneaked in from behind him with a bayonet, he instinctively dodged to the right, and the devil's bayonet was against his face, opening his right face and lips, and fell to the ground on the spot.

The devil came up and prepared to stab again, at this time, Xu Baihua suppressed the severe pain, took advantage of the low center of gravity, and directly pierced the devil's crotch with the bayonet, a fierce pick, opening the devil's stomach.

In this battle, although he was seriously injured, because of his bravery in battle, he was directly promoted from a recruit to squad leader.

In 1946, Xu Baihua followed the troops to participate in the Daliuzhuang Blockade Battle, and he and two other comrades formed a combat group, adopting the method of shooting dark guns and attacking the west from the east, and circling with the two companies of the enemy army for a whole day. When the enemy army found that there were only 3 people in this group, they clamored to catch the enemy alive, but Xu Baihua and his comrades were flexible and mobile, and just took advantage of the opportunity that the enemy wanted to seize the life, and they fought with the enemy with their bayonets, and then withdrew to a village to fight guerrillas, dragging the enemy's footsteps and making the enemy helpless.

Finally, the three men returned safely to the troops in the dark of night. After the war, although Xu Baihua suffered serious injuries in the leg, because of this beautiful blockade battle, he was promoted to deputy platoon leader because of this beautiful blockade battle.

Soon after, when Meng Lianggu blocked the enemy reinforcements and reorganized the 74th Division, Xu Baihua once again made a great contribution and was promoted to platoon leader.

Xu Baihua's most dangerous one was the Battle of Yanzhou, he led the whole platoon in the impact, unfortunately hit the head by the enemy's shrapnel, shattered a skull, and quickly stopped breathing.

The comrades dug the pit, put him in it, and covered him with a layer of soil. But at this moment, the enemy's plane dropped bombs not far away, and the huge explosion woke Xu Baihua up, and he laboriously stretched out an arm, and the comrades-in-arms knew that he was not dead, and carried him out of the pit again and sent him to the hospital. Xu Baihuafu had a great life, and finally picked up a life.

After the founding of the People's Republic of China, Xu Baihua participated in the War to Resist US Aggression and Aid Korea, and also made countless contributions.

By 1958, Xu Baihua was already a battalion commander, but he responded to the call of the Central Military Commission, took the initiative to apply for a job change, returned to his hometown of Anhui to build his hometown, and died of illness in 1981 at the age of 59.
