Is Lamei good-looking or not? Watch the photographer give you a "sample"
There are not many flowers that can be photographed in winter, after all, there are too few "bone-like" plants.
Those who can withstand the wind and snow to blossom are counted as one; plum blossoms are also counted as one.
Previously, some fans proposed to serve ink and share an issue of "how to shoot Lamei". Because the plum blossoms are too small and the branches are too many, they look very good, and the shooting is quite messy - it is really not easy to shoot.
Then, in this issue of photography reviews, Shi Mo will analyze Lamei's photography skills in detail for you!
If you don't know how to start shooting Lamei, you can "copy" the shooting according to the method shared by The Ink Waiter.
Creation is not easy, praise is the heart, tips are encouragement.
Friends who are willing to give "appreciation" to Shimo can open the three dots in the upper right corner of the article,
Go ahead and click on "Appreciate" on it.
The amount is arbitrary and not demanded.
Figure 1
First, the subject of photography is a little less
When the plum blossoms, the branches are particularly thick, the flowers are particularly small, and the flowers are still very dense.
And the branches are still messy, in any direction.
Figure 1-2
Branches are lines, especially thick black branches, and when photographed, they are all kinds of horizontal and vertical lines.
Therefore, it is very important to choose the subject of photography.
Figure 2
Photographing plants with "small flowers + many branches" like Lamei, choosing a suitable photographic subject is the first step.
How to pick?
Figure 2-2
There is a relatively simple way:
Flower branches - if you can shoot one branch, don't shoot two branches;
Flowers – if you can shoot one clump, don't shoot two clusters.
Figure 3
We can follow the branches of the plum and select the flowers that bloom at the end of the branches as the subject of photography.
Having two or three flower buds as a foil is the best.
Figure 3-2
The advantage of this is that the branches in the picture can be relatively few.
It doesn't look so messy.
Figure 4
Second, a clean photographic background
The flowers of Lamei are small, and the branches are many and dense, so using a clean photographic background to highlight the subject of photography is the most direct and effective way.
For example, like Figure 4, use a red wall as a photographic background.
Figure 5
Lamei is usually relatively tall, so we can use "telephoto lens + large aperture" to blur the photographic background.
Reduce the depth of field and focus with only one flower.
Figure 5-2
When the weather is not good, the sky will turn gray.
We shoot upwards with "telephoto + large aperture" to get a light-colored photographic background.
Figure 6
Corresponding to the gloomy weather is the sunny weather.
The sky at this time is blue, and using the blue sky as a photographic background is also good.
Figure 6-2
After all, the flowers of the plum are yellow in color, and the blue sky as a background is more likely to cause color contrasts.
Be careful not to overexpose the flowers when shooting.
Figure 7
We can also use the light and shadow effect on the top of the plum to create a contrast between light and dark, and shoot a dark photographic background.
Find the right angle for photography and meter the light with the subject.
Figure 7-2
There is light above the subject, but there is no light in the background.
Placing this point of view on the lighted part of the subject can darken the background of the photography.
Figure 8
Third, find "echoes" to form content contrasts
The plants blossom and are fresh, bright representatives.
So we can find some scenes that can be echoed with it, as a content comparison.
Figure 8-2
For example, we can find some antique buildings as a photographic background for plum blossoms.
Fresh flowers bloom in front of the old house, and even if it is cold, the mood is happy.
Figure 9
Lamei usually blooms in the Waxing Moon.
As for the Waxing Moon, there will be a festive annual festival.
Therefore, we can use scenes with folk customs as a photographic background.
Figure 9-2
For example, red lanterns.
Big red lanterns hang high, and plums bloom in front of the red lanterns.
It's festive to watch.
Figure 10
The flowers are so beautiful that many well-known attractions are also planted.
Therefore, we can also "borrow the scenery".
For example, use Buddha statues in scenic spots, or flower lovers, as a photographic background.
Figure 10-2
The intensity of the bokeh of the photographic background should be just right.
It is necessary to let people see clearly, the outline of "blurred", but also to make people can't see clearly, the details of "blurred".
The reader will then look closely – what is the "blurred" one?
Figure 11
Fourth, reflect with the snow
The flowering period of Lamei is quite long. During the flowering period of the plum, it may snow.
Stepping on the snow to find plums, let the flowers and snow reflect each other, but also have a lot of fun.
Figure 11-2
When it snows, the light is not strong.
If you want to shoot snowflakes in a linear effect, you need to extend the exposure time.
Therefore, it is best to shoot on a tripod.
Figure 12
After the snowfall, the plum is also covered with a layer of snowflakes.
When selecting photographic subjects, it is also necessary to adopt the shooting idea of "less should not be more".
Figure 12-2
Pick the plum that costs as little as the branch as the subject of photography;
Blur the photographic background with a large aperture.
Focus with plums.
Figure 13
When photographing plums covered in ice and snow, pay attention to the texture of the ice and snow.
Focus should be accurate, and flowers and snow should not be overexposed.
Figure 13-2
Fifth, focus accurately, do not overexpose
The flowers of Lamei are bright yellow.
Flowers of this color, if exposed a little too much, are particularly easy to paste.
Therefore, when we shoot, we can appropriately reduce the exposure compensation a little.
Figure 14
Focus point, to be placed on top of the flower;
The metering point should also be placed on top of the flowers.
If the focus point is not right, placed outside the flower, then the flower must be virtual.
Figure 15
Some people say that my focus point and metering point are on the flowers, but the photos will still be pasty... Why?
Most likely, my hands were shaking when I was shooting, and I didn't keep the camera steady.
The paste rate due to this reason is very high.
Figure 15-2
Another possibility is that when taking pictures, the shutter speed is relatively slow - exceeding the limit of the "stability" of your handheld camera.
For example, when shooting low light, automatic block shooting is used.
The camera automatically extends the exposure time.
Figure 16
When the light conditions are not very good, it is best to shoot with a tripod.
Photograph the blooming plums at a vertical angle, focusing on the flower buds. The shooting effect of this petal opening layer by layer is somewhat similar to that of a lotus flower!
Figure 16-2
In this issue of photography reviews, Shi Mo summarized 5 photography techniques for you to shoot Lamei:
1, let the photographic subject be a little less
2. Make the photographic background simple
3. Look for scenes that can "echo the content" of Lamei
4. Reflect the snow and shoot the texture
5. Pay attention to focus and exposure
Shooting on a tripod is a particularly good habit. Not only can it improve the film yield, but also can extend the exposure time and obtain a relatively novel shooting effect.
Watch the reviews of Shimo, improve a little bit every day!
