Xinmin Evening News (reporter Le Mengrong) On new Year's Day, artist DaHan presented his solo exhibition "Youlan Empty Valley Baiyun Idle" to the public at the Liu Haisu Art Museum, as a special solo exhibition of the museum's New Year's Eve, the artist replaced traditional pen and ink with Chinese herbal medicine, coral, pine stone, etc., and also had a lot of fun in addition to pen and ink.

DaHan's creation is not a simple imitation and reproduction of real-life things, but a reflection on traditional Chinese philosophy and Western artistic language in real life. The "Chinese Herbal Medicine Series" works combine Chinese herbal medicine with pearls, gold wire, gemstones and other materials, presenting linear brushstrokes and confusing textures.

In order to match the festive atmosphere, the exhibition also selected the works of the "Festivals Series" of Dahan. The theme of the exhibition, "Youlan Empty Valley White Cloud Leisure", is a true portrayal of Dahan's 20-year life, he often lives in Yandang Mountain, where the mountains and rivers are beautiful, the birds and flowers are fragrant, the forest springs are babbling, the stars and moons are clear, the empty valley echoes, and the youlan is fragrant. In his view, people now have a stressful life, heavy work, and full of information, and it is difficult to look back and return to the spiritual Youlan Empty Valley. Therefore, in this exhibition, he wants everyone to take advantage of the holiday, look back at the mountain flowing water and sweet and fragrant sunshine, and look for the spiritual home of green mountains and green waters, which is the so-called "heart is like white clouds natural idle".

The exhibition will run until January 16, 2022. "Youlan Empty Valley Baiyun Leisure" will also be held from now until February 16 in Shanghai Yangyun Anman, presenting three series of works: landscape, abstract and Chinese herbal medicine. The artist will regain traditional culture, display artistic philosophy, Confucian essence and cognition of everything in the world in many ways, and integrate the Zen realm into the current artistic creation.
