At the beginning of the new year, the "First Chinese Sports Art Works Exhibition" sponsored by the China Collectors Association and other units was launched in the Beijing Winter Olympic Village. A total of 100 works of Chinese paintings, calligraphy and other artistic masterpieces created with the theme of "Olympic Culture, Olympic City Culture, and Traditional Chinese Culture" were exhibited until the closing of the Beijing Winter Paralympic Games on March 13. During the Winter Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games, 1,670 Winter Olympic athletes, 534 Winter Paralympic athletes and team officials from 54 countries and regions will stay in the village to enjoy the art of ice and snow.
The collection of works of the "First China Sports Art Exhibition" was launched in November 2021, and a total of 262 works of Chinese painting and calligraphy were created by 166 Chinese artists. After expert review, the first batch of 100 works showing the artistic beauty of "power and beauty, ice and fire" and embodying the theme of traditional Chinese culture stood out, and have now been completed in the Beijing Winter Olympic Village Square Area.
In addition to the flag display of delegations from various countries and the signature of truce murals, the indoor space of the square area also provides 22 services such as catering and entertainment, commercial facilities, and cultural experience. During the Beijing Winter Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games, athletes from all over the world will enjoy ice and snow art, experience Chinese culture and have an unforgettable time here.
During the Winter Olympic Games, in addition to the Beijing Winter Olympic Village, the exhibition will also be exhibited to the public in beijing Li Kejian Painting Institute and other art galleries, after the conclusion of the Winter Paralympic Games, the organizing committee will also hold touring exhibitions in many places across the country, and some works will be selected to be collected in many Olympic museums at home and abroad.
