Taking over the L2B fab, the world's advanced total monthly production capacity reached 240,000 units

According to Juheng Network, World Advanced announced on January 1 that the L3B plant and factory facilities purchased from AUO have completed the delivery and officially taken over the operation and become a fab five.

According to Taiwanese media reports, the new plant will have a monthly production capacity of about 40,000 8-inch wafers, which, together with the existing capacity, will bring the company's total wafer capacity to 280,000 units per month.

IT Home learned that on April 28, 2021, World Advanced signed a contract with AUO Optoelectronics to purchase the L3B plant and supporting facilities in Hsinchu Science Park. Previously, the world's advanced in Hsinchu Academy of Sciences had two factories, one in Taoyuan and one in Singapore.

According to the financial report, the company's revenue in October and November 2021 totaled NT$8.133 billion, and its main products are small-size screen panel driver ICs. World Advanced expects that under the strong demand of clients, the annual capacity utilization rate in the first half of this year is expected to remain at a high level.
