Under the careful guidance of the elders in the stone carving industry, he not only overcame the inherent ills caused by different creative techniques common to many artists who changed careers, but also mastered the various techniques of Shoushan stone carving with the sharp knife technique and the changeable techniques to express the high relief works, so that the works were robust and rich, exquisite and transparent, forming an elegant and exquisite unique style.

Among the exhibited works, Ye Zixian's "Ruyi Award" laurel work "Tiger Creek Three Whistles" is very eye-catching. The rough stone of "Tiger Creek Three Whistles" is a rare treasure in the silver-wrapped gold flag descending stone, and the red contained in it belongs to the rare "Li Hong". Among the three Song Dynasty scholar Su Dongpo, the great poet Huang Tingjian and the Buddhist monk engraved on the red block, the feather fan cranked by Su Dongpo alone was white, and even the fan pendant was snow white. This artistic treatment sets off the lofty dignity of the characters out of the mud and does not stain, and achieves a sharp contrast in the aesthetic sense, resulting in a strong visual impact effect.

His disciple Zheng Shibin's "Autumn Colors of Xiting Pavilion" is a masterpiece of perfect combination of painting theory and carving art, which is extremely elegant in jade, like a business end, a shape and a pen, quite exquisite, showing the beauty of elegance. Wu Yuanzhi's "Fragrant Fruit" skillfully presents delicate flowers and fruits, fresh and dripping, almost chaotic; in the layout, the theme is prominent, the level is either hidden or present, the position echoes back and forth, the arrangement is dense and orderly, showing a vibrant and prosperous scene.

Ye Zixian believes that only by learning carving from outside carving, absorbing the artistic nutrients of Chinese painting, and integrating painting theory into creation can we enrich and develop the artistic creation of Shoushan stone carving.

In his works "Tiger Creek Three Whistles" and "Scraping Bones to Heal Wounds", he skillfully uses the traditional Chinese painting scattered perspective principle, and the whole picture pays great attention to the combination of size, denseness, odd and positive reference, undulating and giving way, creating a far-reaching effect, and the overall work brings the viewer a fresh and pleasant beauty.

Huang Wenming, director of the Fujian Strait Folk Art Museum, said that the works exhibited in this exhibition are rich in themes, historical allusions, religious figures, auspicious patterns, rich in content and exquisite products, so that the viewers can feast their eyes. "This year, we will also introduce the works of Chinese arts and crafts masters from outside Fujian Province to Fuzhou for exhibition, providing a platform for artists to learn from each other and exchange art."

Li Yumin, vice chairman of the China Folk Writers Association and chairman of the Fujian Folk Writers Association, said that the Shoushan stone carvings exhibited today represent the important works of Chinese arts and crafts master Ye Zixian in various periods, and his works embody Shouzheng Kaixin. "In terms of creative transformation and innovative development, the Shoushan stone carving art community should have a more prominent contribution in the field of arts and crafts in Fujian Province."
