Fuzhou, 26 Jan (China News Network) -- The excellent play "Tang Wan", which was rearranged by the Fujian Fanghuayue Theater, was staged at the Fuzhou Fanghua Theater on the evening of the 25th.
The Yue opera "Tang Wan" premiered in 2009 and won the Repertoire Award at the 11th China Drama Festival. At the beginning of 2022, this excellent play ushered in a re-rehearsal.
"Tang Huan" is the work of the late Famous Playwright Mr. Wang Renjie of Fujian Province, directed by the famous director Xu Chunlan, and is also one of the representative works of the famous stage designer Liu Xinglin. The drama takes Tang Wan's delicate psychological changes as the main line, and tells the love tragedy between Lu You and Tang Wan.

The late famous playwright Wang Renjie adhered to tradition and returned to the basics all his life, and was known as "the most elegant classical poet in the theater world". Screenwriter Wang Renjie once said that for "Tang Wan", fortunately or unfortunately, Zhu Jun commented on it. The rehearsal of the play is also a remembrance and commemoration of Mr. Wang Renjie.
This drama changes the convention of the choreography of the story of the phoenix, with Tang Wan as the main and The Ong as the match, and also tries to use the analysis of the heroine's inner world to show one of the deep sufferings of human love life.
Since the rehearsal of the Yue opera "Tang Wan" has been ten years since the last performance, in order to allow all the staff to quickly familiarize themselves with the repertoire and restore the fine products, at the beginning of the re-rehearsal of the play, Fujian Fanghuayue Theater invited the original creator of the play- the famous director Xu Chunlan and the famous composer Zhu Lixi to "Fanghua" for rehearsal guidance.
In view of the situation that a large number of fresh blood joined the re-arrangement lineup, director Xu Chunlan spared no effort, in the past month, from the seating row to lead all the actors to repeatedly interpret and understand the script, and combined with the new understanding of the play over the years, on the stage from a detailed action to guide the actors to enter the role, but also spent a lot of time to guide the young stage personnel to restore the original appearance of the stage. Teacher Zhu Lixi personally visited Fuzhou and led the "Fanghua" Orchestra to practice repeatedly in the coldest season of Fuzhou, just to present the original appearance of this exquisite repertoire to the audience.
In the re-arranged Yue opera "Tang Wan", Tang Wan is played by Zheng Quan, a national first-class actor, a national opera performance leader, and a non-hereditary inheritor of the Yue opera Zhang Pai, Lu You is played by Chen Liyu, a national first-class actor, winner of the Chinese Drama Plum Blossom Award, and a non-hereditary inheritor of the Yin sect of Yue opera, and Zhao Shicheng will be played by xing Lihua, a national second-level actor.
According to reports, the re-rehearsal of the play will also be rehearsed at the same time as the youth version, respectively, by the seventh generation of young actors Zhao Yang, Zhao Ye, the eighth generation of young actors Wu Bingyao, Wang Siying, respectively, as the youth version of Tang Wan and Lu You, using the way of learning while rehearsing, by the main creator of "Tang Wan" and the previous actors in the rehearsal to guide them.
Fujian Fanghuayue Theater said that it hopes to achieve the orderly inheritance of excellent repertoire through the play, so that more good plays can enter the audience and serve the public.

Fujian Fanghuayue Theater, formerly known as Fujian Fanghuayue Opera Troupe, was founded in Shanghai in 1946 by People's Artist Yin Guifang. In 1959, the Fanghuayue Opera Troupe moved from Shanghai to Fujian, and in October 2019 it changed its current name. The theater has rehearsed hundreds of plays such as "The Prince of the Desert", "Pan Wife Suo Wife", "Dream of the Red Chamber", "He Wenxiu", "Jade Dragonfly" and so on. For decades, "Fanghua" has won many awards. In 2008, "Yue Opera (Yin Pai)" was included in the first batch of national intangible cultural heritage expansion project list; in 2017, "Yue Opera [Zhang (Yunxia) Pai]" was included in the list of representative projects of intangible cultural heritage in Fujian Province, and there are currently four "intangible cultural heritage" inheritors in the theater, Wang Jun'an, Wang Yimin, Chen Liyu and Zheng Quan.
