The "Fu General" who was greatly embarrassed not to die and whose fortune was high was Fu Xifeng, commander of the 8th Company of the 3rd Battalion, 236th Regiment, 79th Division, 27th Army of the Volunteer Army.
The battle took place on November 27, 1950, the first day of the Battle of Chosin Lake.
At that time, Fu Xifeng was ordered to lead the 8th Company plus another 60 mortar platoon, and after penetrating all the way, launched an attack on the D Company of the 7th Regiment of the 1st Marine Division of the US Army stationed at Hill 1240.
The temperature on that day was more than 30 degrees below zero, the wind and snow were mixed, and the weather was extremely bad, which created great difficulties for the marching operations of the commanders and fighters of the whole company.
