Memories of Shanxi: Memorabilia of Datong City (Spring and Autumn To Western Jin Dynasty)

From 770 BC to 476 BC (Spring and Autumn), the area around Datong City, where Beidi and Lou Fu lived.

From 475 BC to 221 BC (Warring States), the area around datong city was Zhao Territory, and the Zhao general Li Mu was stationed.

In 221 BC (the twenty-sixth year of Qin Shi Huang's victory), Qin Shi Huang divided the world into thirty-six counties, and datong city successively belonged to Yunzhong, Yanmen, and Dai County.

In 214 BC (the 33rd year of the First Emperor), the Qin general Meng Tian built the Great Wall, stretching from Lintao to Liaodong in the west, extending for more than 10,000 miles, and connecting the important towns of Jiuyuan, Zhong, Yanmen, Dai County, and Yuyang to Jieshi's ChiDao. Meng Tian "built the city of Wu Zhou Sai in the valley of the West Ten Mile River of Datong City to prepare for Hu", and the Great Wall surrounded the urban area of Datong City.

In 209 BC (2nd Hu Hai) Chen Sheng wu guang revolted, Qin II mobilized troops to suppress it, and the Xiongnu took the opportunity to occupy the area around the city of Datong.

From 206 BC to 220 AD (Han) Pingcheng County, Datong City was the eastern capital of Yanmen County.

In 200 BC (the seventh year of Gao Zu), Liu Bang led an army of 320,000 to attack the Xiongnu. The Xiongnu besieged Liu Bang at Pingcheng Baishan Mountain, that is, Mapu Mountain in the east of Datong City.

In 114 BC (6 A.D.), the Xiongnu invaded the city and were shot away by Li Guang.

In 110 BC (the first year of the Yuan Dynasty), Emperor Wu of han personally led twelve generals and 180,000 horsemen to tour the north, and went out of the Great Wall through Pingcheng (Datong City) to ascend to The Stage.

In the 33rd year (the following provinces go to the common era, the ninth year of Jianwu), the Xiongnu called out evil to the Han Dynasty. Later, Wang Yan, a woman of the Gongliang family, married Hu Evil Shan Yu. According to legend, Zhaojun went out of the jam and passed by pingcheng Ju Pipa Old Shop (Datong District West Street Dongsheng Store).

In the 38th year (the fourteenth year of Jianwu), the Han Ming Emperor built the Tongguang North Temple in the northeast corner of Pingcheng.

From 213 to 220 (at the end of Emperor Jian'an), Pingcheng County (Datong District) was abolished.

From 220 to 265 (Three Kingdoms Wei), Pingcheng County (Datong District) was restored, and it was subordinate to Xinxing County.

In 265 (Western Jin Dynasty), Pingcheng County (Datong District) was placed under the jurisdiction of Yanmen County.

In 310 (the fourth year of Emperor Yongjia of Huai), the Northern Wei ancestor Tuoba Lu Zhaodai (around present-day Wei County, Hebei) asked Liu Kun, the mu of Hezhou, to obtain the north of Jing (north of Yanmen Pass), and Pingcheng (Datong City) returned to the dynasty.

In 313 (the seventh year of Yongjia), Tuoba Luding Shengle (Inner Mongolia and Linger) was the northern capital, the old Pingcheng was built as the southern capital, and the new Pingcheng was built in the south by the cucumber pile Luoshui, which was 100 miles south of Pingcheng.
