Xia Wenyun was born in 1905 in Liaoning Province. Xia Wenyun has a high academic talent since childhood, and with the encouragement of his parents, he was admitted to the local new school with excellent results, and eventually obtained the opportunity to study abroad at public expense.
As one of the earliest students in China, Xia Wenyun chose Kyoto Imperial University in Japan as his first stop of study. During his time at the school, he studied hard and studied hard, and successfully obtained a master's degree. It was also this experience of studying in Japan that made Xia Wenyun proficient in Japanese.
In 1932, Xia Wenyun graduated from school and returned to his hometown of Dalian. At that time, the Dalian area had basically fallen into the hands of the Japanese army, and Xia Wenyun could only commit himself to being a translator in the occupied area in order to make a living.
At that time, the ambitions of the Japanese were tacitly understood. The patriots among the warlords also plotted against the Japanese army that remained in China many times, among them, Li Zongren took a fancy to Xia Wenyun, a rather young, brave and promising young translator.
At that time, Xia Wenyun was recommended to the Japanese General Staff as an interpreter. What is even more unexpected is that Xia Wenyun was quite appreciated by the Japanese army commanders, and directly granted Xia Wenyun the privilege of eating and drinking at will in the headquarters of the Japanese army. When he went out, Xia Wenyun, the translator, was also accompanied by an entourage, responsible for helping him eat, drink and check out. Two Japanese women were also introduced to Xia Wenyun as wives.
Li Zongren was well aware of the importance of fighting against Japan in the future, so he sent people to contact Xia Wenyun to find out his falsehood. After many contacts, Xia Wenyun, a patriot, was affirmed by Li Zongren and obeyed Li Zongren's arrangement to become an undercover agent in the Japanese general staff.
What makes people extremely emotional is that Xia Wenyun did not ask Li Zongren for any benefits, not even for basic activity funds and remuneration, and only said that "he is dedicated to the country."
Second, dare to be the first in the world
As many people expected, in 1937 Japan launched an all-out war of aggression against China. Relying on its tremendous superiority in military equipment, the Japanese army won many battles and victories in the early stage of its invasion of China, and achieved considerable results, which also caused heavy losses to China's domestic anti-war contingent.
At this critical juncture, Xia Wenyun's early foreshadowing began to play a role. Xia Wenyun repeatedly provided us with intelligence on the Japanese army at critical junctures. With the help of Xia Wenyun's multiple intelligences, our anti-war contingent began to carry out organized and planned resistance, and the losses were greatly reduced.
In February 1938, an ace of the Japanese army, the Itagaki Division, began to move, and after we learned of this situation, many people predicted that the Itagaki Division would attack north, Shaanxi, Shanxi and other places.

In 1946, after the victory of the War of Resistance Against Japan, Xia Wenyun was arrested as a traitor, and after Li Zongren heard the news, he personally came to the prison and released Xia Wenyun on bail.
After his release from prison, Xia Wenyun was treated kindly by Li Zongren, but Xia Wenyun shook his head and refused, without asking for credit for himself, and said: "Now that the war is over, I hope I can find a peaceful place to settle." Li Zongren was overwhelmed by the emotions after hearing this, and then personally sent someone to escort Xia Wenyun to the Hong Kong area.
Not long after arriving in Hong Kong, Xia Wenyun again moved to Japan and chose to settle here.
