A few days ago, GAC Group officially landed on the Malaysian market and brought the first model of gac Trumpchi brand - GS3. The model is available in two versions, the entry-level version and the top version are priced at RM88,800 (about 135,600 yuan) and RM96,800 (about 147,800 yuan) respectively.
The exterior design adopts the "Lingyun Wing 3.0" family design language, which makes the area of the intake grille nearly increase, three chrome decorative strips traverse it, and a red line is added to the upper position of the middle net.
In terms of body size, the GS3 is 4358/1825/1685mm in length, width and height, and has a wheelbase of 2560mm. The rear of the car is equipped with sharp LED taillights and a rear bumper with spoiler, which is very sporty in visual effect.
In terms of interior, GAC Trumpchi GS3 is equipped with a multi-function instrument with AFT color display as standard, an 8-inch LCD display in the center, a multi-function steering wheel, a well-designed center console, leather seats, and high-end audio, etc., and the practical performance is enough to meet the needs of consumers. The luggage capacity is 60:40, 356 litres in the second row of seats and up to 780 litres when the seats are folded.
Safety features up to 6 airbags, blind spot detection, electronic stability control, emergency stop signal, rearview camera, seat belt warning for all passengers, ISOFIX child seat holder, and climate control system with PM2.5 filter.
In terms of vehicle structure, the GS3 features a GAC 2.0 high-strength body, equipped with 6 airbags, direct TPMS intelligent tire pressure monitoring, blind spot detection, electronic stability control, seat belt warning for all passengers, ISOFIX child seat brackets, and PM2.5 genuine air conditioning filter system.
In terms of power, both are equipped with a 1.5-liter naturally aspirated four-cylinder engine, which can produce 114 PS at 6,000 rpm and 150 N·m of torque at 4,500 rpm.
It is reported that GAC Trumpchi only has a new car sales center in Jalan Sultan AzlanShah in the heart of Kuala Lumpur, but its general agent said they will expand a wider range of business in the future. According to the development plan, GAC Group plans to enter the Malaysian market in the form of CBU in the early stage, accumulate brand and product reputation, and create favorable conditions for the subsequent import of CKD vehicles.
