A total of 1,000 new cars from GS3 and GA4 models from GAC MOTOR were unveiled and officially delivered to Nigeria, and the new car will undertake the urban public travel project of Lagos State, Nigeria - LAGRIDE.
Lagos State is the most important economic lifeline in Nigeria, with a large local population, backwardness and congestion in public transportation have always been a problem for the government to solve. The GS3 and GA4, which have a total of 1,000 units from GAC MOTOR, are the protagonists of the project, playing the role of providing local citizens with safe, reliable and comfortable travel.
In order to improve the safety of travel, each new car is pre-installed with on-board cameras, emergency buttons, intelligent road intelligence system platform, audio and video feedback system, which can provide 24-hour audio-visual information to the control center.
It is reported that LAGRIDE will provide empowerment programs for eligible citizens, and each driver can receive a vehicle subsidy provided by the government, in the form of "lease-to-own", when a certain number of years of operation is reached, the final ownership of the vehicle can finally be obtained.
Up to now, GAC MOTOR has established 4 distribution outlets with local distributors, and strives to continuously expand its brand influence in the local area and even in Africa. In addition, the GAC MOTOR brand SKD plant has been put into operation, becoming the first Chinese automobile brand to complete the assembly of parts locally.
